Robert Doyle Barham

WEST POINT – Robert Doyle Barham died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at his son’s home in West Point. He was 98.

Mr. Barham was a native of Lamar County, Ala., and lived most of his life in West Point and Columbus. He was a retired farmer and logger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Shelton and William L. Barham; and his wife, Ruby Barham.

He is survived by three sons, Eldon Barham of Steens and Frank Barham and Paul Barham, both of West Point; a daughter, Frances Taylor of Crawford; and 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren, some of whom live in Vicksburg.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Robinson Funeral Home in West Point with Mike Ellis officiating. Burial will be at Sailors Cemetery in Vernon, Ala.

Pallbearers will be Alan Hartman, Stanley Woodson, Terry Barham, Belton Harpole, Luther M. Ray Jr. and Paul Vickers.
