Mattie Irene Sanders

FOXWORTH – Mattie Irene Sanders died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at Covenant Health and Rehab. She was 78.

Mrs. Sanders was born in Yazoo County and lived most of her life in Foxworth. She has been a resident of Vicksburg since 2000. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Foxworth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Sanders; a son, James O. Sanders Jr.; and a daughter, Thelma Sanders McAllister.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by a daughter, Carol Beam of Tucson; a sister, Lenora Nash of Pascagoula; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia with the Rev. Rick McAllister. Burial will follow at Foxworth Cemetery in Foxworth.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service Monday at the funeral home in Columbia.
