OAK GROVE – James Allen Allred died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005. He was 47.

Mr. Allred was born in West Carroll Parish and lived in Oak Grove.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Joy Allred, and a stepbrother, Charles “Mickey” Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Allred; one stepson, Johnny Moss of Oak Grove; one stepdaughter, Tonya Knowles; his father and stepmother, James Prentiss and Ruth Allred of Oak Grove; three brothers, Mickal Allred of Oak Grove, Larry Allred of Simsboro, La., and Joe Allred of New Albany; one sister, Linda Allred of Homosassa, Fla.; one stepbrother, Glenn Taylor of Shreveport, La.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Howard and Wesley Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Chris Atchley, Mike Lingo, Mike Patterson, Mike Chapman, Swanson Smith and Bryant Burr.

Honorary pallbearer will be Cecil Ford.
