Annie Beatrice Reese
Annie Beatrice Reese died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at Covenant Health and Rehab in Vicksburg. She was 86.
Mrs. Reese was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Luke Church of God In Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Reese Sr.; her parents, John Wesley Bowden Sr. and Lucille Hall Bowden; six brothers, Johnny Richard Bowden, John Wesley Bowden Jr., Clifford Bowden, Climmon Bowden, James Bowden and Frank Bowden; three sisters, Lucille Lee, Leola Monds and Janie Viola Bowden.
Survivors include six stepsons, Wesley Reese Jr. of Valejo, Calif., Ned B. Reese of Daly City, Calif., Aphonso Reese of Vicksburg, Raymond A. Reese of Phoenix, Alonzo Reese and Edison J. Reese, both of Detroit; three daughters, Ceatrice Smith of Vicksburg, Bertha L. Meeks of Detroit and Debra Hardy of Tallulah; one sister, Earlean Cogg of Vicksburg; and nieces and nephews.
W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Jimmie Stampley
FAYETTE – Jimmie Stampley died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at Glenburney Nursing Home in Natchez. He was 72.
Mr. Stampley was a former employee of the Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Stampley and Katie Frye Stampley; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include five brothers, Mac Arthur Stampley, Ray Stampley, Henry Stampley and Percy Stampley, all of New Orleans, and Gene A. Stampley of Fayette; five sisters, Audrey Lowe, Catherine Green and Rochelle Stampley, all of Fayette, Ida Mae Stringer and Julia Ballansaw, both of New Orleans; and other relatives including Annie Wade of Port Gibson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette. Visitation will be from 2 until 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be friends and family.
Bobbie Jean McGee Stewart
Bobbie Jean McGee Stewart died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 39.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Vicksburg and later moved to Edwards, where she graduated from Hinds AHS and Utica Junior College.
She was employed by the Mississippi River Commission, Social Security Administration and worked as a security officer at the Isle of Capri Casino.
Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Jean McGee.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Stewart of Vicksburg; two sons, De’Archie Stewart and Euseph Stewart, both of Vicksburg; her father, George McGee of Gary, Ind.; four step-children, Kawayn Mason of Vicksburg and Latasha Stewart, LaQuanta Stewart and Lamar Stewart, all of El Paso, Texas; three brothers, Curtis Harrison of Gary, Ind., George McGee Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Joshua Bernard McGee of Jackson; and two sisters, Rochelle Williams of Clinton and Cecilia Fulgum of Jackson.
Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
