Megan Lynn Allen
OAK GROVE – Megan Lynn Allen died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. She was 20.
A native of Monroe, Miss Allen lived in Oak Grove.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ray Herrington.
She is survived by her mother, Karen Lynn Allen of Oak Grove; her father, Danny Calvin Allen of Bastrop, La.; her grandparents, Calvin and Marilyn Allen and Bobbie Herrington, all of Oak Grove; and other relatives and friends, including Daniel Brett Allen, Lindsey Shayne Allen, Jonathon Michael Allen and Erik Rosati.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove with the Rev. Jimbo Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Charlie Flowers
Charlie “Little Buddy” Flowers died Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at River Region Medical Center. He was 88.
Mr. Flowers was a retired Claiborne County Highway Department employee.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Second Union Church in Utica with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Second Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until 5 Sunday at Williams Funeral Home.
William B. Harbour Sr.
LAKE PROVIDENCE – William B. Harbour Sr. died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, at South West Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings. He was 80.
Mr. Harbour was born in Coffeeville, Miss., and was a resident of Lake Providence.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Helen Treloar Harbour, and his parents, Braxton and Anna Williams Harbour.
Survivors include a son, William B. Harbour Jr. of Port Barre, La.; a daughter, Cissy Harbour of Jennings; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Providence with the Rev. Lauren Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon today until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Nelson Shepherd, Mike Wilson, Harry Shields, Charles Brown and Trey Harbour.
Marie Ables Ivey
PORTLAND, Ore. – Marie Ables Ivey died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, in Portland, Ore. She was 91.
Mrs. Ivey was born in Inverness to Clara and R.M. Ables Sr. She was a longtime resident of Vicksburg and attended Woodlawn Baptist Church before moving to Portland six years ago.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Leggett of Portland; her son, Richard Jackson of Lena; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial services and burial will be held in Vicksburg at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
