Joyce A. Jones died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. She was 32.

A resident of Port Gibson, Ms. Jones was an aide at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ples Jones.

Survivors include a daughter, Charitee Jones of Port Gibson; her mother, Joyce Jones of Port Gibson; six brothers, Elbert Campbell of Utica and Carl Campbell, Willie Campbell, Roy Lee Jones, Bobby Jones and Luster Jones, all of Port Gibson; eight sisters, Dorothy McGowan, Bobbie McGowan, Jacqueline Campbell, Roberta Jones, Tiffany Jones and Carolyn Jackson, all of Port Gibson, and Charlotte Campbell and Ella Dotson, both of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Leeola McLain

RAYVILLE, La. – Leeola McLain died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, in Rayville, La. She was 89.

Mrs. McLain was a native of Troy, Ala.

She is survived by three daughters, Kattie Mosley of Rayville, Mary Lee Littleton of Kelly, La., and Emma Lou Hudson of Bastrop, La.; a son, Calvin McLain of Oak Ridge, La.; two sisters, Barbara Bryan and Lucille McCreary; three brothers, Huey Coburn, Lynn Coburn and Gene Coburn; 14 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Rayville with the Rev. Harold Spillers officiating. Burial will follow at Stevenson Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville.

Leonard H. Moore Sr.

Leonard H. &#8220Babro” Moore Sr. died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at Promise Specialty Hospital. He was 48.

A Warren County native, Mr. Moore was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Alberta Fonville Moore; his maternal grandmother, Berline Fonville; and his paternal grandparents, Ike Moore and Ada Hill.

He is survived by three sons, Stephon Williams of Edwards, Adrian Warfield of Jackson and Leonard Howard Moore Jr. of Detroit; two daughters, Demetris Banks of Vicksburg and Neshia Renea Moore of Detroit; a brother, James Moore of Vicksburg; three sisters, Catherine Green of Vicksburg, Carolyn Green Banks of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Connie Moore Smith of Indianapolis; his maternal grandfather, Monroe Fonville of Mound Bayou; three grandchildren; and other relatives, including members of the Williams family of Vicksburg.

James H. Reed

Services for James H. &#8220Jimmy” Reed will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Kemp Burley Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hebron Church Cemetery in Bovina.

Visitation will be from noon until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Reed died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. He was 55.

He was preceded in death by mother, Virginia Reed Ivory, and his grandparents, Ira and Mary Francis Reed.

Mr. Reed is survived by his father, Sterling Ivory Sr. of Vicksburg; four sisters, Ivory Jean Reed, Cheryl Patten, Mary Griffin and Annie Reynolds, all of Vicksburg; one brother, Sterling Ivory Jr. of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Harold Everett Spencer Sr.

Harold Everett Spencer Sr. died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 70.

Mr. Spencer was the son of the late Rev. E.E. Spencer and Pauline Spencer. He was retired from Alcorn State University.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

June Squire

June Squire died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. She was 71.

Mrs. Squire retired as a cook from Maxwell’s Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Henderson and Ella Gibson Topps; and a brother, Alfred Lee Henderson.

She is survived by two daughters, Claudia Herrington and Ida Kennedy, both of Vicksburg; two sons, Bobby Joe Squire and Joseph Squire, both of Vicksburg; one brother, Oliver Henderson Jr. of Tacoma, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including members of the Burkley, Smith, Robinson, Dotson and Hunter families.
