Ralph Joseph Anthony died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at his home. He was 99.

Born in Woodville, Miss., Mr. Anthony was a retired farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Anthony; his parents, Abraham Lincoln Anthony and Adlisha Grimes Anthony; and a grandson.

Survivors include two daughters, Josephine Strong of Baton Rouge and Ann Stirgus of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bunker Hill Family Cemetery in Wilkinson County with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial followed under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Lilian M. Brock.

Services for Lilian M. Brock were at 10 a.m. today at Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Chan Osborn de Anaya officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brock died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 99.

Mrs. Brock was born in Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Algernol Walner Mollner and Annie Elizabeth Woodard Mollner.

Mrs. Brock was a retired secretary with the Mississippi River Commission, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, B.J. Brock; a son, William H. Brock; two grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.

She is survived by two sons, Carl M. Brock of Greenville, S.C., and Bradley L. Brock Sr. of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two nieces.

Pallbearers were Mike Chaney, Lee H. Abraham, William F. Field, Dave Benway, Joe Leist, Buddy Boren, Tim Fagerburg, Steven Haik and Michael Coody.

Honorary pallbearers were James G. Horn, Connie Hinman, Richard Jacobson, Malcolm Montgomery, David Dabney and Dr. Russell Barnes.

Michael Chade McCardle.

Michael Chade McCardle died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, from injuries sustained after an all-terrain vehicle accident in Humphreys County. He was 11.

Born in Jackson, he had been a resident of Rankin County most of his life. Chade was a fifth-grade student at Brandon Elementary School. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed hunting and video games. He was an athletic and energetic young man who had a genuine love for the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Corean Pinkston Smith, Marcia Kay Smith and Frances James.

He is survived by his mother, Corean Smith-McCardle of Brandon; his father, Michael Lee McCardle and his wife, Jenelle, of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Corean &#8220Cory” McCardle of Brandon, Alyssa Suppa of San Antonio and Tess Suppa of Dallas; his maternal grandfather, C. Warfield Smith of Vicksburg; his paternal grandfather, Versie L. McCardle of Slidell, La.; his paternal great-grandmother, Minnie M. DeVore of Vicksburg; seven uncles, John Smith and his wife, Nancy, Carl Smith and his wife, Stacey, Tim Smith, and David Smith and his wife, Ashley, all of Vicksburg, James Smith and his wife, Melanie, of Shreveport, La., Steve Smith and his wife, Amy, of Corinth, Texas, and Ronnie McCardle and his wife, Melody, of Hazlehurst; and an aunt, Susan Smith Perrier and her husband, Charles, of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel, 5000 Indiana Ave., Vicksburg, with Dr. Robert M. Hanbey, former pastor of First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst, officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home from 4 until 8 tonight.

Pallbearers will be Charles Perrier, John Smith, Carl Smith, Tim Smith, David Smith, James Smith, Steve Smith and Ronnie McCardle.

Geneva McGowan.

Geneva McGowan died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at her home. She was 77.

Mrs. McGowan was a member of St. Peter M.B. Church, where she was on the Mother Board. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ola B. Valentine; a sister, Easter Lee England; and her parents, Henry Foster and Annie Burden.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie McGowan of Vicksburg; one son, James Wallace of Sioux City, Iowa; six daughters, Sarah Burden, Tamara Wallace, Darlene Wallace and Dorean Buford, all of Vicksburg, Annie Bell Burden of Portland, Ore., and Shirley Smith of Sioux City; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Wesley T. Reardon.

TALLULAH – Wesley T. Reardon died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Olive Branch Nursing Center in Tallulah. He was 72.

Mr. Reardon was a native and lifelong resident of Tallulah. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army in Germany. He was a former employee of the U.S. Postal Service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Reardon; his parents, William Edgar and Ollie Mae Tyson Reardon; and a brother, Ebbie Reardon.

He is survived by four daughters, Susan Caldwell, Sandra White, Sharon Sevier and Shelley Frierson, all of Tallulah; three sons, Bill Reardon of Stafford, Texas, David Reardon of Oak Grove and Sam Reardon of Monroe; a brother, Fred H. Reardon of Fayetteville, N.C.; a sister, Grace Reardon Kline of Valdosta, Ga.; and 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Jean Foreman officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Ervin, Kenny Smith, Danny White, Buddy Caldwell, Phillip Frierson and Marshall Sevier.

Johnnie Mae Neal Trevillion.

HERMANVILLE – Johnnie Mae Neal Trevillion died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at her home in Port Gibson. She was 69.

Mrs. Trevillion was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Trevillion Sr.; and her father, Johnny Neal.

She is survived by her mother, Frankie Lee King of Austin, Texas; two sons, Eddie Trevillion Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, and Fredrick Trevillion of Jackson; two daughters, Yolanda D. Johnson and Sharon E. Trevillion, both of Jackson; three sisters, Bernice Day and Juliette Nious, both of Austin, and Zearline Neal-Smith of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at Welcome Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. James Buck officiating. Burial will be at Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m. and at the church Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service.
