Howell Eldridge Dupuy III.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Howell Eldridge Dupuy III died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, in Murfreesboro, Tenn. He was 75.

Mr. Dupuy was a native of Greenville and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by Howell Eldridge Dupuy II and Helen Matthews Dupuy; and a wife, Maxine Evelyn McAlpin Dupuy.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Uzzle Dupuy of Murfreesboro; two sons, Howell &#8220Happyā€¯ Dupuy IV of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Bruce Dupuy of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Pam Cunningham of Murfreesboro; four sisters, Carolyn Mitchell of Kosciusko, Martha Fleming of Tupelo, Frances Cox of Greenville and Sarah White of Birmingham, Ala.; one brother, Carol Dupuy of Inverness; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro with the Revs. Eddie Smotherman and Ken Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bill Young, Herb Harb, Shane Harb, Basil Arthur, Hal Fisher and Michael Lins.

Henriene W. Hayes.

Henriene W. Hayes died today, Jan. 17, 2006, at Claiborne County Nursing Center in Port Gibson. She was 89.

Mrs. Hayes was a retired school teacher and a retired postal clerk. She was a life member of King Solomon Baptist Church, where she was president of the Mother’s Board. She was a member of Rose of Sharon OES No. 24, Retired Teachers Association, charter member of the Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club and a life member of American Legion Auxiliary No. 213.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Hayes and several siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Hayes Williams and Rene
