MAGEE – Danny Lamar Everett died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at his home in Magee. He was 37.

Mr. Everett was born in Vicksburg and lived in Magee for the past 20 years. He attended Warren Central High School.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Everett of Magee; two daughters, Crystal Everett and Kayla Everett, both of Magee; his father, Tay Everett and stepmother, Dot Everett, both of Vicksburg; his mother, Mary Brown and stepfather, Harold Brown, both of Braxton; two brothers, Jerry Everett of Jackson and Chuck Everett of Slidell, La.; and one sister, Teresa Cummins of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sharon Cemetery in Magee with the Rev. Donald Green of Mendenhall officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in Magee.

Alfred Joseph Ford.

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – Alfred Joseph Ford died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, in Detroit. He was 68.

Mr. Ford was born in Vicksburg to Venos and Alvenia Ford. He moved in 1946 with his family to Detroit, where he attended Detroit Public Schools and graduated from Southwestern High School in 1955.

He received a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from DIT/LIT in 1974 in Detroit and his master’s degree in business administration from McMurray College in 1977. He had worked for Ford Motor Company, Mobil Petroleum Products and Kodak Camera Company.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Wright.

Survivors include his wife, Croteal &#8220Teal” Ford of Mount Clemens, Mich.; two daughters, Julaine Ford of Farmington Hills, Mich., and Joyl Ford of Warren, Mich.; three sons, Alfred Ford of Auburn Hills, Mich., Venos Ford of Miami and V’Ali Ford of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Terry Ford of Detroit; nine grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services were Saturday at First Baptist Church of Southwest Detroit with Minister Garruno Wooldridge officiating, and burial followed at Westlawn Cemetery in Wayne, Mich., under the direction of James H. Cole Home for Funerals.

Pallbearers were James Lyons, Marcus Ford, Maurice Ford, Marquelle Ford, Calvin King and Darnell Bradley.

Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Ahart, Mack Weaver, Louis Ford, Van Jones, Thomas Leake, Morris Hartman, Columbus Glover and Jimmy Knight.

Beatrice Wells Hampton.

PIONEER, La. – Beatrice Wells Hampton died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at Richland Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Delhi. She was 92.

Born in Mize, Miss., Mrs. Hampton was a longtime resident of Pioneer, La. She was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church and was retired from the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, serving as cook and assistant house mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade C. Hampton; and her parents, Arthur A. Wells and Ida Prince Wells.

She is survived by two sons, Wade C. Hampton of Ruston, La., and Troy D. Hampton of Olive Branch; two daughters, Barbara Bernard of Start, La., and Iris Mayberry of Dunn, La.; two sisters, Lois Lacy of Plain Dealing, La., and Linnie Smith of Bastrop, La.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pioneer Baptist Church with the Rev. W.H. &#8220Buck” Curry Jr. and B.L. Rye officiating. Burial will be at West Carroll Memorial Cemetery in Forest, La., under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.

Pallbearers will be Robert Hampton, Steven Hampton, Wyndell Wroten, Mike Collins and Robert Ryan.

Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe or to the Pioneer Baptist Church.

Mary B. Wilson.

Services for Mary B. Wilson will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Triumph church with Pastor Mike Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 7 tonight at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilson died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 65.

Born in Rolling Fork, Mrs. Wilson had lived in Vicksburg for the last 35 years. She was a member of Triumph Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Dillard Sr.; two brothers, Dan Dillard and Ernest Dillard Jr.; and one son, Allen David Brown.

She is survived by her mother, Anniebell Braxton; six sisters, Anniemae Dillard, Mary Lovette, Dorothy Earl, Mattie Hall, Lillie Macon and Willie B. Bell; one brother, Rosevelt Watkins; three daughters, Deborah Lewis, Queen E. Brown and Jeannette Washington, all of Vicksburg; two sons, Moses Brown of Vicksburg and Rosevelt Brown of Columbus, Ga.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives, including members of the Brown, Dillard, Doyle, Lovette, Watkins and Robinson families.
