PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – George Brown died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at his home in Coatesville, Pa. He was 75.

Mr. Brown, a former resident of Vicksburg, was born in Beckley, W.V. He received his formal education in the public school system in Beckley. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle Hughes and George Brown Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Alma Brown of Coatesville, Pa.; four sons, George Brown of Oregon, Kevin Brown of West Virginia, Charles Brown of Coatesville and William Henderson of Vicksburg; four daughters, Carolyn Garriest of Matyland, Pamela Charpentier of Seattle, Carolyn Coleman of Atlanta and Darlene Coleman-Glover of Philadelphia, Pa.; 27 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and other friends.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ray Funeral Home, 1252-29 W. Dauphin St., Philadelphia, PA 19132.
