Services for Mary Frances Farrar will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claire Biedenharn officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Farrar died Monday, March 13, 2006, at Promise Specialty of Vicksburg. She was 93.

A lifelong resident of the Bovina community, Mrs. Farrar was a member of the 4-H Club. She was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Y. Farrar; and two brothers, Eli McKenney and George McKenney.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph A. Farrar of Vicksburg and Steven Howard Farrar of Dover, N.H.; two daughters, Laura G. Arender of Bovina and Margaret Frances Pearce of Vicksburg; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dewey Pearce, Murray Farrar, Joseph H. Farrar, Kevin Vaughan, James Townsend and Jeremy Rushing.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Anita Tribble, Eddie Smith Sr., Otho Jones, Joe Scott, Troy Goss Sr., Oscar Birdsong and Cason Schaffer.

Rosie L. Gibson.

Services for Rosie L. Gibson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvellis Webb officiating.

Mrs. Gibson lived in Vicksburg and was a homemaker. In 1998, she published her book, &#8220Slave After Slavery.” She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed Bingham and Margaret Walker Bingham; two brothers, Issac Bingham and Sam Bingham; and two sisters, Katie Ellis and Eddie Lee Teat.

Survivors include her husband, Edgar Gibson of Vicksburg; two sons, George Bingham and Karl Gibson, both of Dallas; three brothers, Patrick Bingham of Vicksburg, Ed Bingham of Minneapolis and James Bingham of Red Lick; two sisters, Laura Bingham and Lou Anna Wells, both of Jackson; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Arlice Evans Morris.

TALLULAH – Services for Arlice Evans Morris will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Tallulah with the Revs. Jean Foreman and Ferre D’Cruz officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.

Mrs. Morris died Monday, March 13, 2006, at her home in Tallulah. She was 81.

Born in Devil’s Lake, N.D., Mrs. Morris lived in Tallulah for more than 30 years. A retired licensed practical nurse, she was a member of Town and Country Club, Tallulah Bridge Club and First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Edward Evans of Eagan, Minn., Mike Evans of Jackson, Marlin Evans of Tallulah and Charles Evans of Long Beach; three daughters, Marla Cummins, Arlice Headley and Marie Ernst, all of Tallulah; two sisters, her twin Alice Gaumnitz of Tallulah and Mavis Bledsoe of Linville, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Morris’ sons will serve as pallbearers.

Betty Tanner.

GULFPORT – Services for Betty Tanner will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport under the direction of Reimann Funeral Homes.

Mrs. Tanner died Monday, March 13, 2006, in Vicksburg. She was 76.

Mrs. Tanner was employed at Reimann Funeral Homes. She was a member of Gulfport Gardens Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O.F. &#8220Sonny” Tanner; her parents, Fred L. Jackson Sr. and Frances Fowler Jackson; and one brother, Fred L. Jackson Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Frank Tanner of Arcadia, Fla., and Curtis L. Tanner of Gulfport; two daughters, Debra Harrison of Arcadia, Fla., and Dianne Hubert of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
