Gerald B. Allgood.
PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Services for Gerald B. Allgood were Monday at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Panama City, Fla.
Mr. Allgood died Friday, March 10, 2006, in Panama City. He was 71.
Born in Brookhaven, Mr. Allgood served in the Army for two years. He attended Mississippi State University and Mississippi College. After 28 years of service, he retired as a supervisory physicist with the Navy in 1991. He was founder of Allgood’s Unfinished Furniture.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Allgood of Panama City; two sons, Larry Allgood of Melbourne, Fla., and Ronnie Allgood of Lynn Haven; two daughters, Cathy Allgood of Panama City and Mary Bohbot of Melbourne, Fla.; two brothers, Don Allgood of Gonzales and Danny Allgood of Panama City; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and friends.
Hazel T. Campbell.
MEMPHIS – Hazel T. Campbell, 86, formerly of Vicksburg and a resident of Memphis Jewish Home, passed away at Baptist East Hospital on March 15, 2006. Born in Rodney, Miss., she was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Corrie Robinson, and stepfather, Tommy M. Robinson, both of Vicksburg; and her only son, Bill Campbell of Kamuela, Hawaii.
She is survived by daughters, Kathy Shive (Charles) and Lynn Morgan (Charles), both of Memphis; seven grandchildren, Darcy Campbell Bishop (Darryl) of California, Chuck Shive (Jamie) of Australia, Stephanie Simmons (Brad) of Olive Branch, Tommy Shive of Memphis, Lance Cpl. Josh Morgan of San Diego, Lindsay Morgan of Memphis and Miles Morgan (Kim) of Orlando, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Ali Campbell of Kamuela.
Mrs. Campbell began her career at the Magnolia Dairy and worked over 20 years at the Mississippi River Commission in Vicksburg. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Vicksburg.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday with services following at 11 at Memphis Funeral Home, Germantown Parkway Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Charles Shive, Tommy Shive, Charles Morgan, Josh Morgan, David Browman and Trey Thornton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mary Frances Farrar.
Services for Mary Frances Farrar were at 11 this morning at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claire Biedenharn officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Farrar died Monday, March 13, 2006, at Promise Specialty of Vicksburg. She was 93.
A lifelong resident of the Bovina community, Mrs. Farrar was a member of the 4-H Club. She was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Y. Farrar; her parents, Eaire and Mary Frances McGuiggen Wright; and two brothers, Eli McKenney and George McKenney.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph A. Farrar of Vicksburg and Steven Howard Farrar of Dover, N.H.; two daughters, Laura G. Arender of Bovina and Margaret Frances Pearce of Vicksburg; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dewey Pearce, Murray Farrar, Joseph H. Farrar, Kevin Vaughan, James Townsend and Jeremy Rushing.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Anita Tribble, Eddie Smith Sr., Otho Jones, Joe Scott, Troy Goss Sr., Oscar Birdsong and Cason Schaffer.
