Sadie F. Ames.
Sadie F. Ames died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 84.
Born in Belzoni, Mrs. Ames had been a Vicksburg resident since 1953. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ames, in 1976.
She is survived by a son, Arthur A. Ames and his wife, Susan, of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Faye Mason and her husband, Ken, and Frances Hollowell and her husband, Don, all of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Marlene West and Grady Hollowell, both of Vicksburg, Michael Abney of Madison, and Linda Coker and Rusty Ames, both of Jacksonville; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Saturday until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Mike Abney, Grady Hollowell, Rusty Ames, Curtis West, Tommy Jeffers and Johnny Killebrew. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Hildon Sessums.
Jere S. Grice.
Jere S. Grice died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at his home. He was 48.
A native of Shreveport, Mr. Grice had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past nine years. He was employed at Simpson Dura-Vent.
Survivors include his wife, Cherie Upchurch Grice of Vicksburg; one son, Michael Ray of Monroe; one daughter, Wendy L. Adcock of Vicksburg; his parents, George and Christine Grice, both of Shreveport; one brother, Sid Grice of Shreveport; one sister, Georgia Blankenship of Shreveport; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Raliegh Davis, Chris Berry, Walton Segree, Steve Wimbly, Eddie Evans and Paul Buford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Keys, Billy Thompson, Jerry Simmons, Gary Hickman, Andy Wright, Jeff Cowan, Michael Johnson, Mike Bruce, Paul Loveloyd, Steve Ebberheart, Homg Lee, Trong Duond and Paul Flarity.
Johnnie Lee Jenkins.
ROXIE – Johnnie Lee Jenkins died Saturday, March 11, 2006, at his home in Roxie. He was 60.
Mr. Jenkins was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
He is survived by a number of relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Kirby, Miss., with the Rev. Lonnie Culbert officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Roxie under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation will be from 7 until 9 tonight at Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Elizabeth Kahee.
Elizabeth Kahee died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 79.
Mrs. Kahee was a retired domestic worker. She was a member of New Mount Pilgrim M.B. Church, where she was on the usher board.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kahee; parents, Isiah and Frances Farmer; one son, Alex Curtis; and one grandson, Robert Kahee Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Alonzo Curtis Sr. and Robert Curtis, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Catherine Washington of Rolling Fork; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Louis Neal Kinstley Sr.
CLINTON – Louis Neal Kinstley Sr. died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 70.
A former resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Kinstley was a 1955 graduate of Culkin Academy. He retired as an electrician from Anderson-Tully Lumber Company. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Kinstley; one daughter, Mary Darlinda Kinstley; three wives, Mary Latham Kinstley, Paula Darlene Kinstley and Jackie T. Kinstley; and one grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Louis Neal Kinstley Jr. and Sydney Joseph Kinstley, both of Ocean Springs; his mother, Mary Louise Kinstley of Gluckstadt; two daughters, Carmen Case of Clinton and Cindy Kinstley of Kalamazoo, Mich.; two brothers, Bill Kinstley of Raymond and the Rev. Art Kinstley of Brandon; one sister, Mary Virginia Donnell of Gluckstadt; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Seigel, Roger Zireel, Troy Hickey, Steve Donnell, Paul Donnell and Mike Case.

Roy McDonald.
EDWARDS – Roy McDonald died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at his home in Edwards. He was 70.
Born and reared in Vicksburg, Mr. McDonald had lived in Edwards for the past three years. He was a graduate of Carr Central High School and Mississippi College in Clinton.
He retired from the Vicksburg Warren School District as an elementary school teacher. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force. A former member of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg, he attended Edwards Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Gregg McDonald of Birmingham, Ala.; a daughter, Taffi McDonald of Vicksburg; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Edwards Baptist Church with Dr. John G. McCall officiating.
Carlos Deionte Rankin.
FAYETTE – Carlos Deionte Rankin died Sunday, March 12, 2006, in Fayette. He was 27.
A car detailer, Mr. Rankin was a member of Greater Faith Worship Center in Fayette.
Survivors include his parents, Carl Bailey and Sherry D. McDonald, both of Fayette; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater Faith Worship Center with the Rev. J.L. Hammitt Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Harriston under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.
Visitation is from 1 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
