Charles Eunice Brown.
Charles Eunice Brown died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 49.
A millwright at International Paper, Mr. Brown was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Felix M. Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah L. Brown of Vicksburg; two sons, Alfonso J. Brown and Anthony C. Brown, both of Vicksburg; one daughter, Ashanti B. Thomas of Vicksburg; his parents, Eunice “Charlie” and Estella M. Brown, both of Vicksburg; one sister, Verna V. Brown of Vicksburg; one grandchild; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Helen S. Hilderbrand.
MADISON – Helen S. Hilderbrand died Monday, March 20, 2006, at Nichols Center in Madison. She was 90.
A homemaker, Mrs. Hilderbrand was a member of Brandon United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Audry Hilderbrand Sr.; and her parents, Ogden Sadler and Helen Foster.
Survivors include two sons, Earnest Hilderbrand Jr. of Bentonia and Marty Hilderbrand of Hartford, Ark.; three daughters, Alice Dillon of Vicksburg, Jamie Bray of Brandon and Helen Fuller of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Meade Taylor of Yazoo City and Jewel Hilderbrand of Bentonia.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City with the Revs. Earnest K. Sadler, Jim Taylor and Kelly Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Layton, Ernie Hilderbrand, Lee Bray, John Hilderbrand, Aubrey Hilderbrand and Mathew Fuller.
Catherine May Knox.
LORMAN – Catherine May Knox died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at her home in Lorman. She was 69.
A graduate of Alcorn A&M College, Mrs. Knox was a retired educator. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Gideons International Auxiliary and Mount Olive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar D. May Sr. and Mary D. May; one brother, Ben Allen May; and one sister, Doris May Anderson.
Survivors include her husband, Bennie Lee Knox of Lorman; one son, Byron Lee Knox of Lorman; one daughter, Debra Knox of Lorman; one brother, Edgar D. May Jr. of Chicago; one sister, Louise M. Cameron of Lorman; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lorman. Burial will follow at Carbondale Cemetery under the direction of Tyler Funeral Home in Brookhaven. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Patricia Conway Tillman Thomas.
Patricia Conway Tillman Thomas died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 56.
A home health nurse, Mrs. Thomas was employed with Parkview Home Health and Capitol Home Health. A choir member and assistant secretary, she also served on the Board of Trustees at Mercy Seat M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Harvey; one son, Kevin Thomas; two brothers, Loye Tillman and Tamothy T. Tillman; her grandmother, Lillie Bell Smith; and one sister, Lillie Ruth Harvey.
Survivors include her mother, Rosie Lee Tillman of Vicksburg; one son, Timothy T. Tillman Jr. of Vicksburg; one sister, Linda D. Tillman-Fletcher of Vicksburg; five brothers, Donald R. Tillman, Roy Tillman, Joseph K. Tillman, Timothy T. Tillman Sr. and Ronald W. Davis, all of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends, including the Watson, Mims and Eddins families.
