ROLLING FORK – Robert Earl Jones died Friday, March 17, 2006, in Rolling Fork. He was 55.

Mr. Jones was employed with Sharkey County for 31 years.

Survivors include his wife, Ella M. Jones of Chattanooga, Tenn.; his mother, Deloris Bell of Rolling Fork; six sons, Reginald Brown, Robert Jones Jr., and Justin Jones, all of Chattanooga, Anthony Brown of Campbellsville, Ky., Sedrick Jones of Dallas and Cedrick Barnum of Rolling Fork; four daughters, Rosetta Robinson, Crysta Brown, Tammy Brown and Loretta Tate, all of Chattanooga; four brothers, Donald Fung of Texas, Calvin Fung, Lynn Bell and Ronnie Fung, all of Rolling Fork; 10 sisters, Mary Ann Jones, Erica Bell and Brenda Bell, all of Rolling Fork, Laddie Bell and Catina Bell, both of Greenville, Ceatrice Johnson of Vicksburg, Kathy Lewis of Memphis, Patricia Mack of Jackson, Delores Chism of Texas and Annie Fung of Columbus, Ga.; and 17 grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at South Delta High School Auditorium in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Reginald Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Anguilla Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell L. Waker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.

Paul Kenney Jr.

Services for Paul Kenney Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Miller Sr. officiating.

Mr. Kenney died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at River Region West Campus in Vicksburg. He was 70.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Kenney was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Kenney Sr. and Pearline Buckner Kenney; and a grandson, Jerome Lavell Kenney.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie Lee Hales Kenney of Vicksburg; one son, Paul Kenney III of Vicksburg; two daughters, Mary K. Pierce of Del Rio, Texas and Chavonne Allen of Vicksburg; six brothers, Percy White and Robert Kenney, both of Vicksburg, Eddie Lee Green of Blanton, Larry Green of Gulfport, Gary Buckner of Jackson and Johnny Mae Buckner of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Annie Tankson of Lakeland, Fla., and Jenny Rodriguez of Glen Allen, Ill.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Charles Percy Lyons Sr.

EDWARDS – Charles Percy &#8220C.P.” Lyons Sr. died today, March 24, 2006, at his home in Edwards. He was 73.

Born in Copiah County, Mr. Lyons was a retired contractor. He was a member and choir director of Greater Zion Traveler M.B. Church in Utica.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Rawls Lyons; his parents, George Lyons and Carrie Lyons; and two brothers, Robert Lyons and Prentiss Lyons.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Lyons of Utica and Charles Percy Lyons Jr. of Edwards; three daughters, Vanli Lyons of Utica, Ledora Lyons of Killeen, Texas, and Major Monica Faye Lyons of Iraq; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Fannie Mae Williams.

GRACE – Fannie Mae Williams died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Sharkey Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. She was 76.

Survivors include her husband, E.B. Williams Sr. of Grace; three sons, Archie Williams, A.B. Williams Jr. and Otis Williams, all of Grace; eight daughters, Jello Montgomery, Vera Wright, Lisa Jenkins, Mackie Goon, all of Greenville, Mary Brown, Gracie Howard and Elnora Hudson, all of Grace, and Idella Williams of Portland, Ore.; six brothers, Robert T. Williams, Jimmy Williams, Tony Williams, the Rev. Larry Williams, Johnnie Williams and London Williams, all of Mayersville; two sisters, Freddie McGee and Gracie Wade, both of Mayersville; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill M.B. Church in Mayersville with the Rev. Frank Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at Mitchell L. Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.

Willie Mae Williams.

LORMAN – Willie Mae Williams died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at her home in Lorman. She was 70.

Mrs. Williams was a member and mother of Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Rodney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Perley and Matilda McGee; and a sister, Carrie Woods.

Survivors include her husband, Mitchell N. Williams Sr. of Lorman; four sons, Mitchell N. Williams Jr. and James E. Williams, both of Lorman, Donnell Williams of Vicksburg and Randy Williams of Gary, Ind.; one daughter, Joanna Williams of Port Gibson; two brothers, Alfred McGee and Henry Clay Jones, both of Los Angeles; five sisters, Wilma Williams of Lorman, Udoxie Ward of St. Louis, Ruthie Hill and Alice Tillman, both of Los Angeles, and Theresa White of Vicksburg; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Rodney with the Rev. John Tyler officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Port Gibson. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at the funeral home and from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the church.

Lou W. Nichols Wright.

Lou W. Nichols Wright died Monday, March 20, 2006, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 85.

Born in Chickasaw County, Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and member of Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Wright; and her parents, John Wesley Nichols and Lucy A. Henderson; a brother, Ellis Nichols; and a son, Hollis Johnson.

Survivors included two sons, Don Johnson of Vicksburg and Jerry and his wife, Linda Johnson, both of Water Valley; a longtime friend, companion and caregiver, Jim Cox of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Thursday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City with the Rev. Ricky Dorrell officiating. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City.

Pallbearers were Gary Vines, Mike Johnson, Frank Johnson, Charles Houston, Rickie Johnson and Jason Cooper.
