Everybody got in on the fun in Warren Central’s romp over Vicksburg on Thursday.

All nine WC starters scored at least one run, and all but one had at least one hit as the Lady Vikes cruised to a 13-1 victory. Warren Central scored 11 runs in its last two at-bats, blowing open what had been a pitchers’ duel with the help of four Vicksburg errors.

&#8220I’ve been happy with the way we’ve been playing up to this week. I wasn’t happy with the way we finished this game,” Vicksburg coach Kori Crutchfield said.

Tiffany Fuller led Warren Central (8-5), going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs, a walk and two stolen bases. She also shut Vicksburg down in the circle, allowing only one hit while striking out six in five innings.

VHS starter Kristi Shelby matched Fuller early on, until a WC rally and a defensive meltdown by the Missy Gators (4-8) allowed the game to get out of hand.

Shelby gave up an RBI double to Mandy Fuller in the first inning and another run in the third as the Missy Gators trailed 2-1 heading into the fourth. She got the first two batters out in that inning, then quickly got into trouble.

Three straight singles, by Dana Weber, Kaitlyn Patton and Shelbi Conerly, led to two runs and Tiffany Fuller capped the rally with an RBI double to make it 5-1.

Fuller was thrown out trying to steal third to end the inning, but the Lady Vikes picked up where they left off the next time they came to bat. Nine straight batters reached base, including Patton on a two-run single and Tiffany Fuller on another RBI double. Four Vicksburg errors were mixed in, and by the time the outburst was over the Lady Vikes had a commanding 13-1 lead.

Fuller retired the Missy Gators without incident in the bottom of the fifth, ending the game by the 10-run mercy rule.

&#8220We just weren’t making good decisions on defense. Couldn’t catch the ball, couldn’t throw the ball. It was mental mistakes,” Crutchfield said.

St. Aloysius 11, Mize 1.

Sarah Kerut had 11 strikeouts and allowed only one hit, one walk and one unearned run to lead St. Aloysius (12-5) to a rout of Mize.

Sarah Franco and Mary Myers Franco had two hits apiece for St. Al, and Lauren Lanier doubled and scored two runs. The Lady Flashes blew open a close game with eight runs in the bottom of the fifth, ending the game by the mercy rule.
