Franklin D. Adams.
Franklin D. Adams died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 78.
Mr. Adams was retired from Anderson Tully. He was a member of Shiloh M.B. Church in McBride, where he was a deacon. He was a United Gospel singer and a member of Six Trumpeteers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burnell and Rosie Lee Adams; one son, Larry Williams; two brothers, Johnny Adams and Walter Lee Adams; and one sister, Eunice Adams.
He is survived by four brothers, Roosevelt Adams of Milwaukee, Wis., Will T. Adams of Utica, and W.B. Adams and Lonzo Adams, both of Vicksburg; and two sisters, Lillie Kelly and Rosie Lee Smith, both of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Shiloh M.B. Church, with the Rev. Troy L. Smith Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in McBride.
Visitation will be from 4 until 6 tonight at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
David Harwell Aderholt.
CUBA, Ala. – David Harwell Aderholt died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
He is the infant child of James David and Jennifer Andrews Aderholt, both of Cuba, Ala.
David is survived by his grandparents, Dean and Kelly Andrews of Vicksburg, Doc and Allison Stephens of Meridian, and Beverly Jo Harwell Beard and her husband, Bo, of York, Ala.; and other relatives.
David was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Harwell.
A private family service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cokes Chapel Cemetery in Ward, Ala., with the Rev. Tom Buchanan officiating. Burial will be at the cemetery, under the direction of Barham Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to a charity or church youth group of choice.
Barbara Ann Brooks.
Graveside services for Barbara Ann Brooks were Friday, April 14, 2006, at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Brooks died Friday, April 7, 2006 at River Region Medical Center. She was 51.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Beatrice Brooks and one sister, Ora Delores Brooks.
She is survived by one son, Stuart Elliott Brooks of Vicksburg; three daughters, Leslie Brooks and Katrina Brooks, both of Vicksburg, and Peggy Brooks of Jackson; one brother, Rickey Watts Brooks of Jackson; two sisters, Curtisene Smith of Vicksburg, and Cynthia Brooks of Jackson; three grandchildren; and other relatives.
Willie Mae Inez Carter.
Willie Mae Inez Carter died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at her home. She was 84.
Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and a former employee of Anderson Cafe. She was a member of Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Julia Greenwood Wright; and by her brother, Clarence Wright.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Carter Sr.; two sons, James H. Carter Jr. of Baton Rouge, La., and Willie E. Carter of Mitchellville, Md.; one daughter, Julia Cason Brown of Detroit; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

James Edward Guimbellot.
James Edward Guimbellot died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at his home. He was 52.
Mr. Guimbellot was a lifelong Vicksburg resident and a retired Mill Right construction worker. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse F. and Martha Brownell Guimbellot.
He is survived by his son, Michael Flowers of Vicksburg; one brother, Roger Allen Guimbellot of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and two sisters, Jeanie Conrad of Albany, Ore., and Elizabeth J. Tilley of Vicksburg.

Cecil Louis McGuffee.
POLKVILLE – Cecil Louis McGuffee died Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 51.
Mr. McGuffee was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and was an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mandy McGufee; his parents, Harry and Gladys McGuffee; and his brother Harry Lee McGuffee Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Candice McGuffee of Polkville; his son, Brandon Lee McGuffee of Polkville; his daughter, Robin Taylor of Pulaski; two brothers, Wayne McGuffee and Albert McGuffee, both of Terry; six sisters, Marie Johns and Bobbie Abraham, both of Clinton, Shirley Riddle of Vicksburg, Eileen Ring of Atlanta, Wanda Wilkerson of Victoria, Texas, and Carrie McGuffee of Byram; and other relatives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Pearl. Burial will be at Rock Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery near Puckett.
Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mary Ann Arnold Todd.
MANDEVILLE, La. – Mary Ann Arnold Todd died Thursday, April 13, 2006, in Mandeville, La. She was 77.
Mrs. Todd was born in Vicksburg. She had a bachelor’s degree from Delta State University and a master’s degree in library science from Louisiana State University.
She traveled extensively with her late husband, a naval officer, and lived in Morocco, California, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi.
She was involved with the Vicksburg Little Theater and other cultural organizations. She was an active supporter of local libraries, including Port Gibson’s.
She was a lifelong member of the Episcopal church and had close ties to Church of the Holy Trinity, Episcopal, in Vicksburg and St. James Episcopal Church in Port Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Miller Todd; her parents, Julia Marie Arnold and Robert Lowry Arnold; and her in-laws, Carlton Rice Todd and Josephine Thames Todd.
She is survived by her son, John Carlton Todd; her daughter, Julia Tevis Todd Hoover; her son-in-law, Robert Hoover; her daughter-in-law, Leah McFarlain Todd; four grandchildren, Todd Hoover, David Hoover, Callum Todd and Patrick Todd; her first cousin, Natalie Peeler; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. James Episcopal Church in Port Gibson under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.
