An unidentified man was found dead this morning, the apparent victim of a shooting, and potential suspects were being interviewed, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.

The victim, identified only as a man, was found outside a home at 310 Massey Road, a short street off Warriors Trail.

Pace said the shooting was reported at 9:12 a.m.

Deputies remained on the scene at late morning, and the Warren County coroner had been dispatched.

&#8220We are interviewing several individuals at this time, but it is too early to give more details,” Pace said. &#8220We have not identified the deceased.”

One other person has been killed in in Warren County outside Vicksburg this year.

No arrest has been made in the robbery and slaying of Elizabeth Williams, 72, who was found dead at her home at 1508 Greenhill Road. An autopsy showed she died as a result of a blow to the head.
