Thursday’s Division 3-1A match at Clear Creek Golf Course turned into a romp for St. Aloysius.

All five St. Al golfers shot 85 or lower, including medalist Chase Smith with a 67, and the Flashes cruised to the division championship. Greenville-St. Joe, which finished third, was the only other team with a player who broke 90. Shauna Allen fired an 85 for the Irish.

John Lindigrin fired an 81, John Reid Golding shot an 82, and Alex Lanier had a round of 84 for St. Al. Charles Marsalis also shot an 85. Only the top four scores are counted toward the team score. St. Al totaled 314 for the day, 68 strokes ahead of second-place Puckett. The Wolves had a team total of 382.

Greenville-St. Joe was third, with 388, and Pisgah was fourth with 453. Edinburg also participated, but only had two golfers. A team must have at least four to be included in the team standings.
