Mrs. Laura McIntyre Hanisee.
Mrs. Laura McIntyre Hanisee died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 87.
A native of Tomahawk, Wis., Mrs. Hanisee was the daughter of the late Able Thomas and Ollie Pearl Grow Sullivan. For the past 85 years, she had made her home in Vicksburg. Mrs. Hanisee retired from Waterways Experiment Station with 20 years of service in the publication division. She attended First Christian Church and was active in CWF women’s group, Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army and ladies auxiliary at the former ParkView Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hanisee was preceded in death by her husbands, Junius I. McIntyre Jr. and Henry Harold Hanisee; her parents; a daughter, Laura “Betty” Middleton; a son, James P. McIntyre; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ruth McClain and husband, Kevin, both of Cartersville, Ga.; two sons, David McIntyre and wife, Pat, both of Florence, and Thomas McIntyre and wife, Sue, both of Vicksburg; two stepsons, Mark Hanisee and Mike Hanisee, both of Riverside, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, Karla McHan, Angela Mahoney, James McIntyre, Tim McIntyre, Erin McIntyre, Quin McClain, Ashley McClain, William B. Middleton III, Brian Middleton and Donna Bone; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Hancell Bankester officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be William B. Middleton III, Brian Middleton, Timothy McIntyre, James McIntyre, Glen McCaskill, Eric McCaskill and Peter McCaskill.

James Donald Hearn Sr.
James Donald Hearn Sr. died Friday, April 21, 2006, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. He was 65.
A general contractor, Mr. Hearn was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Owsley Hearn of Vicksburg; three sons, James D. Hearn Jr., Pat Hearn and Greg Hearn, all of Vicksburg; one daughter, Debra Conerly of Vicksburg; three brothers, Billy Hearn, Danny Hearn and Roy Hearn, all of Vicksburg; six sisters, Margaret Fleming of South Carolina, Gladys Pettway, Jean Sibley, Wilma Briscoe and Frances Hedricks, all of Vicksburg, and Pansy Dean of Canton; five grandchildren; and other relatives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Miles Henley, David Conerly, Mark Conerly, Pat Hearn, Paul Conerly and James Hearn Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert McConnell, Billy Ainsworth, Billy Moore, Donny Walters, Robert Sibley, J.C. Conerly, Todd Flanagan, Robert Johnson, Arville Sizemore and Paul Barrett.

Matthew Hudson died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 78.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
