Ryno Martin-Nez had four hits, including a triple and a solo home run, but it wasn’t enough to beat host East Webster in a Class 1A regional final Saturday afternoon in Maben. East Webster advanced to next week’s quarterfinals with a 10-4 win.

St. Al (14-15) trailed 3-2 going into the bottom of the fourth when the Wolverines scored two to go up 5-2. The Flashes narrowed the gap to 5-4 after the third of Martin-Nez’s hits.

East Webster (24-5) came back with two runs in its half of the fifth to build a 7-4 lead. They put it away with three more in the sixth.
