Ole Miss rejoins national rankings|[4/25/06]

Fresh off a sweep of rival LSU in a weekend Southeastern Conference series, the Ole Miss Rebels have rejoined the national rankings.

The Rebels (26-15, 10-8 SEC) are ranked 22nd in the Collegiate Baseball poll and 23rd in the Baseball America poll.

With the sweep of the Tigers, the Rebels are riding a six-game winning streak, the longest active streak in the SEC. Ole Miss has also won nine of its last 11 games against ranked teams.

The Rebels kicked off the six-game win streak with a win on the road at No. 7 South Carolina on April 16.

Mississippi State (29-11, 8-9) is ranked 20th in the Collegiate Baseball poll and 24th by Baseball America.
