ARLINGTON, Texas – James &#8220Jack” Luckett died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at U.S. Veterans Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He was 88.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelina Williams; his wife, Bessie Luckett; two sons, James Jones Luckett and Marion Luckett.

Survivors include a son, Daniel Luckett of Chicago; a granddaughter; and other relatives including Victoria Taylor Funches and Nancy Jean Hall of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.

Sharkey V. Stuart Jr.

ROLLING FORK – Sharkey V. Stuart Jr. died Monday, May 1, 2006, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. He was 81.

Born in Hollandale, Mr. Stuart had been a resident of Sharkey County since 1952. A World War II veteran of the Navy, he retired from Lamensdorf’s Farms of Egremont. He was a member of Goodman Memorial Methodist Church in Cary.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Stuart.

Survivors include three sons, Sharkey V. Stuart III and Todd Stuart, both of Jackson, and Frank &#8220Rowdy” C. Stuart of Cary; a daughter, Debra S. Ruggeri of Leland; two brothers, Frank Stuart of Fitler and Ellis Stuart of Cary; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Frank Lescallette officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jim Newman, Stuart Ruggeri, Garret Stuart, Robert Brown, Clarence Edwards, Mike Barlow, Marty Stuart and Frank Stuart Jr.
