Chelsea Ann Bragg.

DAPHNE, Ala. – Chelsea Ann Bragg died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, in Daphne, Ala. She was 16.

Born in Vicksburg, Ms. Bragg was a resident of Daphne. An honor student at Daphne High School, she was a member of the Key and Drama Clubs.

Survivors include her parents, Norman and Phyllis Bragg, both of Daphne; a brother, Justin Bragg of Daphne; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Bragg Tetlak of Daphne; paternal grandmother, Judy McDowell of Carlock, Ill.; and cousins and other relatives.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Living Waters Church of Fairhope in Fairhope, Ala., with the Rev. Carter Schultz officiating. Burial will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.

C.E. Foster.

UNION CHURCH, Miss. – Services for C.E. Foster were this morning at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Carr officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Mr. Foster died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at his home in Union Church, Miss. He was 92.

A lifelong resident of the McBride Community in Port Gibson, Mr. Foster was a farmer. A Mason, he was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, John A. Galbreath Lodge No. 334 and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Higgs of Union Church; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The Masons served as pallbearers.

Beatrice Norfort.

Services for Beatrice Norfort will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Joseph Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Williams Funeral Service.

Mrs. Norfort died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 84.

A domestic worker, she was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Freetown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Norfort Sr.; her parents, Ruben and Julia Clark; a son, James Norfort; a daughter, Clintine Norfort Foster; two brothers, Willie Clark and Ben Sanders; and a sister, Rachel Wells.

She is survived by five sons, David Norfort and Andrew Norfort, both of Vicksburg, Ruben Norfort and Robert Norfort, both of Kansas City, Kan., and Curtis Norfort of St. Louis; three daughters, Julia Norfort Jones, Ruth Norfort Carter and Fannie Norfort McNair, all of Vicksburg; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends, including the Williams and Johnson families of Vicksburg.

Derrick Ja’Lannya Riley.

FAYETTE – Derrick Ja’Lannya Riley died Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Singing River Hospital in Fayette. He was 31.

Born in Adams County, Mr. Riley was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Barnes.

Survivors include his mother, Lillie Mae Riley; a son, Desmond J. Fuller of Orange, Texas; two brothers, Anthony Riley and Markeis Riley, both of Fayette; a sister, Keisha Beverly of Vicksburg; three stepchildren; and other relatives and a special friend, Vmeke Averhart.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 6 tonight at Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.

Pallbearers will be the Jefferson High School Class of 1992.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Riley, Markeis Riley, Henry Clark, Henry Davis, William Barnes and Marvin Johnson.
