Membsy Fisher Jr. died Sunday, May 14, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 75.

Employed with Vicksburg Family Development Center, Mr. Fisher served as a member and deacon of Jackson Street M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Membsy Fisher Sr. and Maggie Winston Fisher; four brothers, C.J. Fisher, Horace Fisher, Jim Fisher and George Fisher; and a sister, Maggie Lee Otis.

Survivors include six sons, Ray Fisher Sr. of Vallejo, Calif., Larry Fisher of Vicksburg, Michael Fisher of Detroit, Jimmy Wright of Gabriel, La., Johnny Wright of Greenwood and Cornelius Fisher of Aurora, Ill.; six daughters, Diane Fisher Williams of Detroit, Sharon Fisher Hill of Vallejo, Connie Fisher Walker of Vicksburg, Shelia Fisher Keys of Sacramento, Calif., Bridget Winters of Greenville and Ledoria Fisher of Aurora; a sister, Mabel Fisher Peterson of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Martha Ella Cook Marshall.

Martha Ella Cook Marshall died Monday, May 15, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 89.

Born in Kingston, Ark., Mrs. Marshall had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 60 years. She attended Solid Rock Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Marshall; her parents, John David and Isabelle Cook; a son, John A. Marshall; two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Melvin R. Marshall and Marvin J. Marshall, both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Mavis Marie Barnes and Rose Gardner, both of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy J. Talbert officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kendell Stevens, Michael Boler, Justin Boler, Chris DeRossette, Danny Marshall, Israel West, Matthew West and Randy Barnes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Stevens, Drs. Murray Whitaker and Anita Tribble.
