Mary Frances Ring Daughtrey died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Heritage House Nursing Center. She was 82.

Mrs. Daughtrey was a native of Warren County. She graduated from St. Francis Xavier Academy and attended All Saints’ College.

She retired from Vicksburg Medical Center in 1990 after 48 years of service in various administrative capacities. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the Catholic Women’s Auxiliary, the St. Francis-St. Aloysius Alumni Association, Blessed Virgin Sodality, Vicksburg Art Association, Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation, Vicksburg Warren Historical Society and Vicksburg Foundation for Historic Preservation.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James R. Daughtrey; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Ring of Yokena; and five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include eight nephews, Pat Ring, Charles O. Ring Sr., William C. Ring Jr. and Joseph M. Bonelli Sr., all of Vicksburg, Joseph J. Ring of Natchez, John O. Ring Sr. of Atlanta, Robert R. Bonelli of Phoenix, Ariz., and Martin E. Hall Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M.; four nieces, Rose Ring Godfrey of Natchez, Charlene Hall Fenn of Vicksburg, Deidre Hall of Albuquerque and Cathy Ring Powell of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick J. Curley officiating. Burial will follow at Yokena Cemetery under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John O. Ring Jr., Pat Ring Sr., Charles O. Ring Sr., William C. Ring, Joseph J. Ring III, Joseph M. Bonelli, Robert R. Bonelli, Martin E. Hall Jr., John O. Ring III, Patrick Ring, Charles O. Ring Jr., John Kirk Ring, Michael W. Ring, Lantz Powell Jr., James F. Powell, Owen P. Powell, Joseph M. Bonelli Jr. and John M. Bonelli.

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny R. Griffin, L.J. Forsythe, George Maples, Don R. Bucci, James C. Lopez, Lonnie Walters, Noel Crook and Gorman Schaffer.

Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, 100 St. Michael Place, Vicksburg, MS 39180; Vicksburg Catholic School, 1900 Grove St., Vicksburg, MS 39183; or a favorite charity.

Elizabeth Mayfield Gee.

Elizabeth Mayfield Gee died Wednesday, May 31, 3006, at her son’s home in Milwaukee, Wis. She was 76.

Mrs. Gee lived in Vicksburg for seven years before moving to Milwaukee. She was a member of Mount Zion M.B. Church No. 4 of Vicksburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodson Mayfield and Josephine Anderson Mayfield; four brothers, Tommy Mayfield, Arthur Mayfield Sr., Nathan Mayfield Sr. and Oscar Mayfield Sr.; and three sisters, Flora M. Smith, Alma M. Snow and Evelyn M. Hoskins.

Survivors include her son, John L. Gee of Milwaukee; a brother, the Rev. Henry Mayfield; a sister, Louise M. McDonald of Greenwood; and grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Charles Edward Hall Sr.

Charles Edward &#8220Poochie” Hall Sr. died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Rayville Nursing Home in Rayville, La. He was 62.

Born in Vicksburg, Mr. Hall had worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Mat Sinking Unit. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Callie Hall Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wilson Hall of Vicksburg; two daughters, Charletta J. Hall of Vicksburg and Stephanie Hall of California; two sons, Charles Edward Hall Jr. and Patrick Lamon Hall, both of Vicksburg; a stepson, Terrence Washington of Flowood; three grandchildren; and other relatives, including members of the Hall, Wilson and Strong families of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Sarah Eletta Stockman.

TALLULAH – Sarah Eletta Stockman died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center. She was 76.

Born in Bay Springs, Miss., Stockman had lived in Tallulah for 35 years and was a sales clerk.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Kathryn Young of Grayson, Ga.; a brother, Richard Harmon Stockman of Tallulah; a sister, Geneva Culpepper of Bay Springs; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were at 10 a.m. today at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. Jean Foreman officiating. Burial was at Silver Cross Cemetery.
