John Harold Noble.
RIDGELAND – John Harold Noble died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Hospice Ministries. He was 88.
A native of Anguilla, Mr. Noble was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He had lived in Jackson for 58 years and retired in 1982 after 20 years with Michael Baker Engineers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lora Noble.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Noble of Jackson; two daughters, Diane Noble of Jackson and Susan Jennings of Vicksburg; a son, Gary Noble of Jackson; seven sisters, Edna Earl Barlow of Jackson, Hilda Martak and Jo Noble, both of Germanville, Tenn., Jeannette Bishop of Flemington, N.J., Mary Joyce Jones of Brandon, Mim Auter of Hattiesburg and Jean Phillips of Brookhaven; one brother, Hugh Noble of Columbia, S.C.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

John Hamilton Pettway Jr.
John Hamilton “Johnny” Pettway Jr. died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 47.
Mr. Pettway was born in Texarkana, Texas, but had been a resident of Vicksburg most of his life. He was a former employee of Anderson-Tully Co. He attended First Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Hamilton Pettway Sr. and a sister, Cinda Aline Pettway.
He is survived by his mother, Dora Rebecca Irwin Pettway of Vicksburg; his step-father, Charles Ashby “Dick” Pettway of Vicksburg; one brother, Jason Howard Pettway of New Hebron; and one sister, Christine Rebecca Pettway Cummins of Yazoo County.
Visitation will be from 3 until 5 today at Riles Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kurhman Cox officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jason Pettway, Charles T. Pettway, Glenn Hartley, Carl Pettway, Bobby Boyd and Victor Simmons.
Matthew Morris Shelton.
Matthew Morris Shelton died Friday, June 2, 2006, at River Region Medical Center.
He is the infant child of Morris and Andrea Shelton.
Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bennie Huell Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Robert Davis Sr. and Juanita Davis.
He is survived by his twin sister, Maliya Trinity Shelton; four other sisters, Katrina Shelton, Mya Weathersby; Asha Brisco and Leyla Shelton, all of Vicksburg; his paternal grandmother, Katie Gray of Vicksburg; his step-mother, Dorothy Davis of Vicksburg; and other relatives.

Robert Nathaniel Reddix Sr.
Robert Nathaniel Reddix Sr. died Friday, June 2, 2006, at his home. He was 61.
Mr. Reddix was a retired principal from the Vicksburg-Warren School District and the Harrison County School District. He was a deacon at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Reddix of Vicksburg; two sons, Robert Reddix Jr. of Temple, Texas, and Rodney Reddix of LaPlace, La; a step-daughter, Jimitria Williams of Vicksburg; three sisters, Alice Teemer and Camille Lofton, both of Chicago, and Gertrude Reed of Georgia; one brother, Wilbur Reddix of Vancleave; four grandchildren; and other relatives.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Elizabeth Mayfield Gee.
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Elizabeth Mayfield Gee died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at her son’s home in Milwaukee. She was 76.
Mrs. Gee had lived in Vicksburg seven years before moving to Milwaukee. She was a member of Mt. Zion M.B. Church No. 4.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Gee; her parents, Woodson Mayfield and Josephine Anderson Mayfield; four brothers, Tommy Mayfield, Arthur Mayfield Sr., Nathan Mayfield Sr. and Oscar Mayfield Sr.; and three sisters, Flora M. Smith, Alma M. Snow and Evelyn M. Hoskins.
She is survived by her son, John L. Gee of Milwaukee; one brother, the Rev. Henry Mayfield; one sister, Louise M. McDonald of Greenwood; six grandchildren; and other relatives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Gregory Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 7.
