James Davis Jr.
Services for James “J.D.” Davis Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Center with the Rev. Dennis Redden officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday at Robbins Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis died Sunday, June 4, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 52.
Mr. Davis was a foreman with the City of Vicksburg Sewer Department. He was a member of Mount Pisgah M.B. Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Mae Davis; and his grandmothers, Rubbie Lee Scott and Rebecca Thomas.
He is survived by his father, James Davis Sr. of Vicksburg; three sons, James Lashon Davis, Roderick Davis and Terrance Alonzo Davis, all of Vicksburg; one daughter, Tiquana Davis of Vicksburg; three brothers, Willie L. Davis, Joe Davis and James Q. Davis, all of Vicksburg; two sisters, Margaret Moore and Louise Davis, both of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; friends, including Evelyn Burkes; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including members of the Barber, Bohannon, Ellis and Thomas families.

Ellen Harris died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 84.
Ms. Harris was a homemaker and member of Providence Christian Church in Tillman.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Molly Johnson; her father, Fred Harris; two brothers, Andrew Johnson and Lonie Harris; and five sisters, Gussie Lee Harris, Emma Banks, Lula Mae Johnson, Everline Johnson and Mary Washington.
Survivors include one daughter, Margie Harris of Port Gibson; two brothers, Robert Lee White and Johnnie B. Johnson, both of Hermanville; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including Katie Nailor of Vicksburg.
Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.

Services for Rosa Lee Johnson will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Calvary M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. Thursday at Williams Funeral Service.
Mrs. Johnson died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 51.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a teacher at Beechwood Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Whitaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie Johnson of Vicksburg; two daughters, Michelle Johnson and Chandra Vaughn of Vicksburg; four sisters, Doris Perkins, Georgia Moore, Lucy Moore and Theresa Sutherland of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
