Billy Arthur Brown.
ROLLING FORK – Billy Arthur Brown died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at Heritage Manor in Rolling Fork. He was 72.
Born in Savannah, Tenn., Mr. Brown had been a resident of Rolling Fork since 1964. A U.S. Army veteran, he been employed with Nuckolls Farms for 31 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fin and Dora Brown; two sisters, Bonnie Ricketts and Lucille Hunt; and two brothers, Luke Brown and Earl Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Brown of Rolling Fork; three sons, Billy Ray Brown of Holly Bluff, James W. Brown of Redwood and Arthur G. Brown of Greenville; four daughters, Sue Foster of Blacksburg, Va., Melissa Pierce and Kathleen McDaniel, both of Rolling Fork, and Faye J. Livingston of Southaven; a brother, Woodrow Brown of Savannah; two sisters, Geraldine Clark and Irene Harville, both of Savannah; 12 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Deer Creek Baptist Church in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Carl Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
Pallbearers will be Clifton Porter, Dave Clark, Bert Clark, Ellis Stuart and Frank Stuart.
