Johnnie O’Quinn.
Johnnie “Jake” O’Quinn died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 79.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. O’Quinn was a truck driver and retiree of Anderson-Tully.
He was a member of the usher board at First Baptist M.B. Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom O’Quinn and Ella Bradley; a brother, Robert O’Quinn; and a sister, Laura Wilson.
He is survived by his companion of 50 years, Rosie Lee Wallace of Vicksburg; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Addie Lou White.
ISSAQUENA COUNTY – Addie Lou White died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at Sharkey-Issaquena County Hospital. She was 86.
A native and lifelong resident of Issaquena County, Miss White was reared at Lockwood Plantation. She was the daughter of late Benjamin Franklin White Sr. and Altee Heath White. She was a member of Goodman Memorial United Methodist Church in Cary.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ben White; and a sister, Mildred Catherine White.
She is survived by a number of cousins.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Riles Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Lescallette, a chaplain at Patients Choice Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Hill Cemetery in Mayersville.
Visitation will be from noon until the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Morris Stuart, Heath Stuart, Ellis Stuart, Neville Bradshaw, John Payne and Marty Stuart.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
