Victoria Lynn Barnett Clark.

Services for Victoria Lynn Barnett Clark will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Church of Christ, Culkin Road, with the Rev. Larry Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 6 tonight at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of service at the church.

Mrs. Clark died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 24.

She was a member of Church of Christ, Culkin Road.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie B. Barnett Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Dempsey Clark Sr. of Brookhaven; three daughters, LaDatra Williams, Nakatra Barnett and Demptre E. Clark; a son, Dempsey Clark Jr. of Vicksburg; her mother, Willie Mae Barnett of Vicksburg; four sisters, Gloristine Mason of Bolton, Deloris Forbes, Sheila Barnett and Felicia Barnett, all of Vicksburg; three stepsisters, Willie Marie Wilkerson of Edwards, Jeannie Mack and Beverly Barnett, both of Gulfport; six brothers, Willie Barnett and Albert Barnett, both of Biloxi, Eddie Gray, Dennis Barnett, Donald Barnett and her twin, Victor Barnett, all of Vicksburg; five stepbrothers, Willie B. Barnett Jr., Bobby R. Barnett, Ambrose Barnett, all of Edwards, Marvin Barnett of Los Angeles and Willie B. Rushing of Vicksburg; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Beatrice Chin Chu.

Beatrice Chin Chu died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, at her daughter’s home in Norfolk, Va. She was 91.

A native of Springfield, Mass., Mrs. Chu was born to the late Dong and Shia Kiu Chin. She lived in Vicksburg for more than 55 years as owner and operator of a grocery store. A member of First Baptist Church, she assisted with the Chinese Ministry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Shik Chu; a brother, Leon Chin; and a sister, Marion Koplecky.

She is survived by a son, Robert Chu of Norfolk, Va.; three daughters, Dorothy Chu of Norfolk, Va., Eleanor Wong of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Eltha Wong of Arlington Height, Ill.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kia Mack and Hie Lau; and other nieces and nephews of Saskatoon, Saskachewan, Canada and Hong Kong.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with Drs. Matt Buckles and John G. McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Fisher Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will Joe Tom, Joe Tom Jr., Edward Wong, Mac Ferris, Ken Chung and Gregory Wong.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Wong and Robert Chu.

Makela Antionae Sampson.

FAYETTE – Makela Antionae Sampson died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, in Fayette. She was 3.

Born in Adams County, Makela attended Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church in Fayette.

She is survived by her mother, Delphine Sampson of Fayette; her grandmother, Doris L. Sampson of Fayette; two brothers, Markus A. Ballard of Fayette and Lavenski Sampson of Seattle; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mariah M.B. Church in Fayette with the Rev. E. Charles Cotton officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 7 tonight at Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.

Pallbearers will be family friends.
