John Price Bourn.
John Price Bourn died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 83.
Mr. Bourn was born and reared in Hattiesburg and lived for a number of years in Jefferson Parish, La. He was a retired oil and gas surveyor and was a veteran of the Army.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Erskine Clay Bourn; and a sister, Jessie Rae Bryant.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Marie Hosemann Bourn of Vicksburg; one daughter, Barbara Carol Bourn of Vicksburg; his foster parents, James and Gladys Hanberry of Sumrall; one brother, Robert Hanberry of Sumrall; and two sisters, Leslie Ross and Elizabeth Ross, both of Sumrall.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick Farrell officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Wednesday until the service at the funeral home.

Andrew Crabtree.
Andrew Crabtree died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 74.
Mr. Crabtree was born in Noxapater, Miss., and had lived in Vicksburg for the past 39 years. He was employed with Warrenton Yard and Garden, where he performed tack, saddled and repaired leather for 22 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Vicksburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ada R. Crabtree; and his brother, Oneil Crabtree.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Ruth Crabtree of Vicksburg; his son, Billy Ray Crabtree and wife, Carol, of Vicksburg; his daughter, Leita Reichle and husband, Kyle, of Platte City, Mo.; three brothers, Edward Crabtree of Oxford, Ark., Jim Crabtree and Lavelle Crabtree, both of Yazoo City; five sisters, Mildred Edwards and Faye Rice, both of Madison, Josie Edwards of Terrel, Texas, Sara Wigley of Vicksburg and Gladys Dykes of Mathews, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Lyndzie McCullough, Jonathan Crabtree and Austin Crabtree, all of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow at Flora Cemetery in Flora, Miss. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Edwards, Joe McFarland, Wilburn Wigley, Jonathan Crabtree, Wayne McCullough and Glenn Wigley.
Lonnell L. Flowers.
Services for Lonnell L. Flowers will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Williams Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Flowers died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 45.
Mr. Flowers was of the Baptist faith and was an accounting clerk with Infinite Entergy Inc. in Gainesville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Flowers.
Survivors include his parents, Dennis Flowers Jr. and Margaret Johnson Flowers, both of Vicksburg; three brothers, Ronnell Flowers of Fulton, Calif., Marvin Flowers of Jackson and Dennis Flowers III of Vicksburg; a sister, Renee Frizzle of Crestview, Fla.; and other relatives and friends.
Mattie M. Kelly.
UTICA – Mattie M. Kelly died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, in Jackson. She was 93.
Mrs. Kelly was a Utica resident.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Spring Ridge M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at O’Henry Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. Friday at Lakeover Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson.
LeKidra Knox.
GRACE, Miss. – LeKidra Knox died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Mississippi 16 West as a result of an auto accident. She was 12.

GRACE, Miss. – Mary Knox died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Mississippi 16 West as a result of an auto accident. She was 41.

Sandra Kay Reese.
Sandra Kay Reese died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at her home. She was 47.
A native of Monroe, La., Mrs. Reese was the daughter of the late Clyde and Betty Johnson Calvit. She worked as a paper carrier for The Vicksburg Post for 14 years and was a member of the V.D. dart league.
Mrs. Reese is survived by her husband, Paul Reese of Vicksburg; four daughters, Tammy Robinson of Monroe, Anne Isbell of Ruston, La., Stacey Ghrigsby of Alexandria, La., and Stephanie Reese of Vicksburg; one brother, Gene Petty of Monroe; two sisters, Betty Simon and Barbie Bice, both of Monroe; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at a later date under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.
James Albert Sadler.
James Albert Sadler died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 59.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Artemease Sadler and Jessie Buck.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela Harvey and Delia Harvey, both of Milwaukee; a son, James Harvey of Milwaukee; five brothers, J.W. Sadler and Ervin Ferguson, both of Hampton, Va., John L. Sadler of Jackson, Lee Arthur Sadler and Marcus Ferguson, both of Vicksburg; five sisters, Jerry Hawkins of Chicago, Charlene Allen, Lydia Ferguson and Shirley Ferguson, all of Vicksburg, and Louivinnia Sotomoyer of Newport News, Va.; and other relatives and friends.

Albert Clifton Solomon Jr.
Albert Clifton “Sol” Solomon Jr. died this morning, Oct. 10, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 89.
Mr. Solomon was born in Lauderdale, Miss., and had lived in Vicksburg for the past 54 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he worked as a warehouse supervisor at U.S. Rubber Reclaiming. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg.
He is survived by two sons, Dr. Don C. Solomon of Virginia Beach, Va., and Phil Solomon of Vicksburg; a daughter, Marti Solomon of Alabaster, Ala.; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Dr. John G. McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Thursday until the hour of service.
Ora Belle Stuart.
Ora Belle Stuart died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. She was 87.
Born in Union, Miss., Mrs. Stuart lived most of her life in Transylvania, La., and had been a Tallulah resident for four years. She was a homemaker and a member of Sondheimer Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Johnny H. Stuart.
Survivors include three daughters, Ann Davidson and Janice Peterson, both of Transylvania, and Stevie Sturdivant of Lake Providence; four sons, John C. “Buddy” Stuart and Jimmy Stuart, both of Transylvania, Jerry Stuart of Vicksburg and Terry Stuart of Golden, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Providence with the Rev. Paul Stephens officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 until 2:15 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Baker, Tandon Baker, Garth Sullivan, Andy Vining, Byron Vining and Robert Stuart.
Deliyah Watson.
GRACE, Miss. – Deliyah Watson died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 2.

James M. Willhite Jr.
TALLULAH – James M. “Jimmie” Willhite Jr. died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center. He was 79.
Born in Ouachita Parish, Mr. Willhite had lived in Madison Parish most of his life. He served in the Army Airforce as an airplane armor mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was past master of Tallulah Lodge No. 308 and Pioneer Lodge; a former 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason; and a Shriner. He served as district grand lecturer of the Grand Lodge, State of Louisiana, for a number of years.
Mr. Willhite was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Etta Willhite; three brothers, Oliver Willhite, Derwood Willhite and George Willhite; two sisters, Juanita White and Carrie DeJura; and a son, Harvey Dale Willhite.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Cletus Moak officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah after Masonic ceremonies.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Smith, David Mahoney, Jim Wood, Buddy Caldwell, Don Butler, Donnie Ellerman, Clint Johnson, Roy McDuffie, Leonard Miller and Jerry Strong.
