Ed Kelly Jr.

CARY – Ed Kelly Jr. died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital. He was 72.

A retired farmer, Mr. Kelly was a member of Guiding Star M.B. Church in Cary.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Marie Kelly; his parents, Ed Kelly Sr. and Mattie Scott Kelly; and two brothers, James Kelly and Robert Kelly.

He is survived by his wife, Lonnie M. Kelly of Cary; six sons, Eddie Kelly III of Cary, Melvin Kelly and Tyrone Kelly, both of Portland, Ore., Johnny Kelly, Curtis Kelly and Otis Kelly, all of Cary; and 27 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Doris Marie Martin.

Doris Marie Martin died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 79.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry &#8220Happy” and Nettie Martin; and a brother, Harry B. Martin Jr.

She is survived by her caretaker and son, Jim Martin of Vicksburg; a sister, Dolly Nettie Moses of Vicksburg; a sister-in-law, Sherrill Willis of Vicksburg; a niece, Melanie Hood of Vicksburg; and a nephew, Darryl Martin of Vicksburg; and numerous cousins.

Mrs. Martin’s body has been donated to the University Medical Center in Jackson. She has requested that prayers be offered in her name and any donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Cancer Research Hospital in Memphis or Vicksburg-Warren Humane Society.
