Ed Kelly Jr.

CARY – Services for Ed Kelly Jr. will be at noon Sunday at Guiding Star M.B Church in Cary with the Rev. Carl Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at Cary Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral home.

Mr. Kelly died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital. He was 72.

A retired farmer, Mr. Kelly was a member of Guiding Star M.B. Church. He was a native of Port Gibson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Marie Kelly; his parents, Ed Kelly Sr. and Mattie Graise Kelly; and two sons, James Kelly and Robert Kelly.

He is survived by his wife, Lonnie M. Kelly of Cary; six sons, Melvin Kelly and Tyrone Kelly, both of Portland, Ore., and Eddie Kelly III, Johnny Kelly, Curtis Kelly and Otis Kelly, all of Cary; 27 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

HATTIESBURG – Services for Kelcey LaFred McCalpin, infant son of Demorius and Adrienne Wilson-McCalpin of Hattiesburg, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Neal Family Cemetery in Hermanville under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson. The Rev. Edward Frazier will officiate.

In addition to his parents, Baby McCalpin is survived by his maternal grandmother, Janie Wilson of Port Gibson; maternal great-grandparents, Mary and Percy Hedrick of Pattison; paternal grandparents, Willie and Jaqueline McCalpin-Wilson of Port Gibson; paternal great-grandparents, Cora McCalpin of Hermanville and Porter Wilson Sr. of Port Gibson; and other relatives, including the McCalpin, Segrest, Wilson and Brewton families.
