James Edward Hudson.
PORT GIBSON – James Edward Hudson died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at Claiborne County Hospital. He was 80.
A graduate of University of South Carolina, Mr. Hudson was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson. A retired lieutenant commander in the Navy, he also served as director of Mississippi Southern Bank of Port Gibson. He was a member of the American Legion, Lions Club, Masons, Shriners and a long-time businessman. He was a loving father and husband.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Benjamin Hudson Sr.; his mother, Vivian Hudson; his brother, H.B. Hudson Jr.; and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Lanelle B. Hudson of Port Gibson; three daughters, Linda Segrest and her husband, Tom, of Columbus, Miss., Jamie Banks and her husband, Will, of Sheridan, Wyo., and Vivian Piskovitz and her husband, Edward, of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brother, George A. Hudson and wife, Phyllis; a sister, Norine H. Nabers; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 today at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1:30 today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
Kay Ginger Woo.
Kay Ginger Woo died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 49.
Mrs. Woo was a programmer analyst.
She is survived by three brothers, Sam Woo and Jimmie Woo, both of Belzoni, and Jack Woo of Memphis.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mortimer Funeral Home in Belzoni. Burial will follow at Greenville Chinese Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
