Patrick Thomas Hebler died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 87.

Mr. Hebler was born and reared in Vicksburg. He was a retired tool and die maker. He was an Army veteran, serving in World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Hebler of Vicksburg; two sons, Larry Gordon of Riverside, Calif., and Patrick T. Hebler Jr. of Vicksburg; three daughters, Pat Harris of Crosby, Texas, Jeri Gordon of Vicksburg and Martha Foster of Georgetown, Texas; one sister, Telly Hatchette of Vicksburg; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Green Acres Memorial Park with the Rev. Patrick Farrell officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon Saturday until the service.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

James Carter Kittrell.

GRENADA – James Carter Kittrell died today, Nov. 10, 2006, at Grenada Lake Medical Center. He was 79.

Mr. Kittrell was a retired information and education forester for the Mississippi Forestry Commission. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Dell Kittrell of Grenada; one daughter, Sheila Moudy and her husband, Justin, of Vicksburg; two sons, Hal Kittrell and his wife, Sharon, of Columbia and Marty Kittrell and his wife, Karen, of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Clarence Cooper officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Home Cemetery in Bay Springs under the direction of National Funeral Home of Grenada.

Visitation will be at the church from 3 p.m. Saturday until the service.

Mary Sue Meadows.

Mary Sue Meadows died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 76.

Mrs. Meadows was a native of Rolling Fork and had been a Vicksburg resident for the past 56 years. She was an active member of Gibson Memorial Methodist Church and a member of the Joy Club. She was also active in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

She was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim H. Meadows; her father, Charles King Castleberry Sr.; her mother, Mary Ridell Castleberry; and a brother, Charles King Castleberry Jr.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Park Field and her husband, Mark, of Crestville, Fla.; and two brothers, Bradley King Castleberry of Columbus, Ga., and Preston Castleberry of Meridian.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Greg Hazelrig and Ed Hightower officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bert Day, William Day, Roy Campbell, Ronald Pownall Jr., David Cotton, Robby Meadows and Bobby Mullen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Russell Barnes, Dr. Briggs Hopson, Dr. James Valentine and Dr. Dale Cordes.

Memorials may be made to Gibson Memorial Methodist Church.
