Eugene Herman King Sr.
Services for Eugene Herman King Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Evergreen M.B. Church in Redwood with the Rev. Frank Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. Sunday until the service.
Mr. King died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 64.
Mr. King was a member of Evergreen M.B. Church, where he served as treasurer of the deacon’s board.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel King Sr. and Elder Easter Bracey; and a brother, Jessie King.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria King of Vicksburg; nine sons, Eugene King Jr., Harry DeFrance, Roy DeFrance, Pernell DeFrance, Calvin DeFrance, Carl DeFrance, Reginald DeFrance, Terry DeFrance and Sean Johnson, all of Vicksburg; three daughters, Yvetta DeFrance, Keisha King and Pamela Brown, all of Vicksburg; three brothers, Samuel King Jr., of Huntsville, Ala., Larry King and Robert King, both of Vicksburg; seven sisters, Cornelius Nelson of Leesville, La., and Joyce King, Estella Barber, Lucy King, Bernice King, Jeanette Calvin and Diane King, all of Vicksburg; 40 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Mattie Mae Riley.
Mattie Mae Riley died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. She was 86.
Mrs. Riley was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence B. Storey Sr. of Vicksburg. She lived in Cleveland for a number of years, where she was a member of First Baptist Church. In 2002, she moved to Prentiss where she was a resident of Jefferson Davis Community Hospital Extended Care Facility.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold E. Curtis and Troy Riley.
Survivors include two sons, Michael W. Curtis and Harold E. Curtis Jr., both of Prentiss; one daughter, Rhonda Lynn Riley Hensley of Lake Mary, Fla.; one brother, Lawrence B. Storey Jr. of Vicksburg; one sister, Frances Lindigrin of Vicksburg; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Waddell officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 until the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joe Lindigrin, John Lindigrin, David Lindigrin, Ryan Curtis, Trey Curtis and Cliff Axtell.
Louis Antwan Trevillion.
HERMANVILLE – Services for Louis Antwan Trevillion will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Port Gibson High School Gymnasium with the Rev. Leroy Dee, pastor of Whitehall M.B. Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Whitehall M.B. Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 6 today at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and Sunday at the school from 1 p.m. until the service.
Mr. Trevillion died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, as the result of a gunshot wound. He was 17.
Mr. Trevillion was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carrie Trevillion.
He is survived by his father, Ira Louis Odoms of Hermanville; his mother, Stephanie Odoms of Hermanville; six brothers, John Trevillion, Frank Trevillion, Ira Thomas, Antonio Trevillion, Earljaciae Jackson and Walter Odoms, all of Hermanville; three sisters, Juatikia Evans, Shreeka Evans and Nikeidra Odoms, all of Hermanville; his paternal grandparents, Murdlia and Ulysses Odoms of Carlisle; his maternal grandfather, Willie Washington of Hazlehurst; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
