Willie James Erves Sr.

DETROIT – Services for Willie James Erves Sr. were Friday at Pearl Funeral Home in Detroit.

Mr. Erves died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, in Detroit. He was 74.

He was the son of the late Beatrice Johnson Erves Wyatt and John Erves Jr.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dennes Erves; and a brother, David &#8220Snook” Wyatt.

He is survived by three sons, Willie James Jr., Jaun Corteaz and Bernard Erves, all of Detroit; two daughters, Cora Erves and Vickkee Erves, both of Detroit; three brothers, Henry Erves of Detroit, and John Erves III and Emanuel Erves, both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Aldonia Bolden of Vicksburg and Merdis Marie Davis of Minneapolis; and other relatives, including Dorothy Carson and Dorothy Williams.
