Burnell Bailey
FAYETTE – Burnell “Preacher” Bailey died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital. He was 60.
He was a Fayette resident.
Services will be at noon Saturday at East Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lorman with the Rev. Melvin White officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Pattison.
Visitation will be from 2 until 7 today at Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.
Elizabeth Ann Bradley
TALLULAH – Elizabeth Ann “Bibba” Bradley died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. She was 54.
Born in Jena, La., Ms. Bradley had lived in Tallulah most of her life. She was an office manager for Collins Farms and a member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Bradley; her father, Lenell Bradley; and a daughter, Shelly Landrum.
She is survived by three sisters, Gloria Bradley Jones of Covington, La., Mona Bradley Williams of Crowville, La., and Glynda Bradley Hill of Bella Vista, Ark.; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services were at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Shane Williams, Chad Williams, Scott Green, Michael Seal, Curt Collins and Dave Collins.
Frances Carson
ANGUILLA – Frances Carson died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. She was 101.
A resident of Anguilla, Mrs. Carson was a member of St. Paul M.B. Church in Cameta.
She is survived by two daughters, Alberta Ephraim and Ruby Sardin, both of Anguilla; 19 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 47 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul M.B. Church with Pastor R.C. Addison officiating. Burial will follow at Cameta Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service at the church.
Rejonna Hamilton
PORT GIBSON – Services for Rejonna Hamilton will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ashland M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. James Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and from 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of service at the church.
Ms. Hamilton died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident on Mississippi 28 in Hazlehurst. She was 25.
Ms. Hamilton was a member of Ashland M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Lee Washington; and her grandmother, Hazel Hamilton.
She is survived by a daughter, Debrionna Neal of Port Gibson; her mother, Deborah Thornton and stepfather, Cornelious, both of Port Gibson; three sisters, Roshanda Frye of Fayette, Romana Hamilton and Romekia Hamilton, both of Port Gibson; two brothers, Durell Hamilton and Derrick Hamilton, both of Port Gibson; her great-grandmother, Ruth Hamilton of Port Gibson; a stepmother, Annie Lou Washington of Port Gibson; two stepsisters, Cassandra Thornton of Milwaukee and Lashanda Wilson of Vicksburg; a stepbrother, Corey Thornton of Milwaukee; and other relatives and friends, including Travis Rankin of Fayette, Jamarcus Simmons, Jerinda Hamilton and Jasamine King, all of Port Gibson.
Alton Wayne Hay
Memorial services for Alton Wayne Hay will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Marcus Cathey and George Mayfield officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service.
Mr. Hay died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. He was 63.
Born in Mer Rouge, La., Mr. Hay was retired from International Paper Co.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grover Cleveland Hay; his mother, Sadie Meadows Hay; two sisters, Sadie Burton and Bernice Brown; a son, Dexter Davis; and a wife, Thelma Hay.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Hay of Vicksburg; four sons, Antonio Dewayne Hay of Drew, Kelvin Marshall Hay of Hattiesburg, Rico Hay of Vicksburg and Jeffrey Jerome Hay of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Yolanda Amalu of St. Croix, Virgin Islands; two stepsons, Thomas Prestage of Vicksburg and Luther Prestage Jr. of Leake County; three stepdaughters, Angelicque Blackmon of Atlanta, Veda Chambers of Jackson and Mary Jo Johnson of Morton; and two sisters, Aileen Robinson of Bastrop, La., and Dorothy Jackson of Houston.
Earnestine Jackson
FAYETTE – Earnestine Jackson died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at Bedford Care Nursing Home in Hattiesburg. She was 61.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Jefferson County to the Rev. Percy Jackson Sr. and Sinester Ephraim Jackson.
She was a graduate of Jefferson County High School, where she was a former cafeteria worker. She was a member of Greenleaf M.B. Church in Fayette.
Survivors include three brothers, Elevert Lee Jackson and Percy Jackson Jr., both of Fayette, and Jerry C. Jackson of Hattiesburg; five sisters, Cealy Jackson and Rachel Epherson, both of Hattiesburg, Shirley Rankin of Russum, Carry Smith of Detroit and Betty Smith of Los Angeles; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenleaf M.B. Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.

John Kelly
Services for John Kelly will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. R.L. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Kelly died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was 54.
Mr. Kelly was a tire builder, TV/VCR repairman and a certified chef. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Kelly; and his mother, Nora Mae Erves.
He is survived by his wife, Seless Kelly of Oklahoma City; one son, Joseph H. Kelly of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Ennya Patrice Kelly of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Caleb Erves, Lee Anthony Erves and Dennis Erves, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Mary H. Meeks and Jessica Erves, both of Vicksburg, and Shirley Cory of Kenya, Africa; two grandchildren; and other relatives.
