Vivian Deloris Farrish Dillard

Vivian Deloris Farrish Dillard died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. She was 79.

A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Dillard taught at Rosa A. Temple High School. She was a graduate of Rust College in Holly Springs, Miss., and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Dillard; her parents, James L. Farrish Sr. and Annie L. Farrish; and a brother, James L. Farrish Jr.

She is survived by four nieces, Carmen F. Reese of Stockbridge, Ga., Janice F. Lambert of Overland Park, Kan., Sylvia S. Redd of Vicksburg and Lenora Ann F. Christopher of South Lake, Texas; and a nephew, James L. Farrish III of Edwards.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Betty Ann Myers

Betty Ann Myers died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007 at her home. She was 73.

A native of Yazoo City, Mrs. Myers lived in Sweeney, Texas for 20 years and Vicksburg for 12 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierce and Pearl Eldridge Davis; her husband, Sydney Curtis Myers; two sisters, Louise Tabor and Mattie Tempe Davis; and a brother, William Paul Davis.

Survivors include six daughters, Marilyn Myers, Tammy S. Myers and Robin D. Myers, all of Vicksburg, Priscilla Delgado of Wharton, Texas, Lajuan Deere of Corpus Christi, Texas and Vickie Leach of Rockdale, Texas; a son, Jerry Myers of Vicksburg; a sister, Catherine Saxton; a brother, James Davis, both of Ardmore, Okla.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Shiloah Cemetery in Benton, Miss. with Rev. Scott Reiber officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Patient Choice Hospice, 1911-A Mission 66, Vicksburg, MS 39180.

Pallbearers are Jerry C. Myers, Richard Paul Davis, Dewayne Snider, Glenn Sanford, Sydney Schepps and Raymond M. Wilder.

Honorary pallbearers are Grady Lynn Howell and James Davis.

Shirley Ruth Pearson

OAK GROVE – Shirley Ruth Pearson died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007 at West Carroll Care Center in Oak Grove, La. She was 71.

A Port Gibson native, Mrs. Pearson was a resident of Lake Providence, La.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mable Froman; a sister, Mary Froman; a brother, E.D. Froman and an uncle, Eddie Earl Jones.

Survivors include her husband, Bert Pearson; a daughter, Cheri Pearson, both of Lake Providence; a sister, Patsy Clements of Pearl, Miss.; a brother, Doyle Froman of Vicksburg; two aunts Elsie Starnes of Pattison, Miss. and Gloria Jones of Western Grove, Miss.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Lake Providence with Dr. Neal Raborn officiating.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to the hour of service. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers willl be Brad Clements, Jeffery Riggan, John Wesley Clement, Roger Clement, Mark Clement, Kenny Price.

Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
