Ole Miss’ Armintie Price was selected third in the WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky on Wednesday. She is the highest pick ever for a Rebel and the first to be drafted since Saundra Jackson in the third round in 2002.

A 5-foot-9 guard, Price is just the second player in NCAA history to record more than 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 400 assists and 400 steals, joining Cheryl Miller. As a senior, she was named first-team All-America by ESPN.com.

Price completed a stellar college career this year by leading Ole Miss to its first Elite Eight appearance since 1992.

While waiting for the Draft to begin, Price told ESPN that &#8220it’s like knowing you passed the test, but you’re waiting for the grade.” After her selection by the Sky, she said, &#8220I got an A-plus and a smiley face.”

Ole Miss players Jennifer Gillom and Yolanda Moore, and coach Van Chancellor also played or coached in the WNBA.
