Rosie Lee Middleton Durman
Rosie Lee Middleton Durman died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at Heritage House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 85.
A member of Mount Pilgrim M.B. Church, Mrs. Durman and was a secretary and was on the mothers’ board for 67 years. She was a graduate of Magnolia High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Blanche Middleton; her husband, Eugene Durman Sr.; two sisters, Mary M. Miller and Lillie B. Johnson; and three brothers, William Brickle, James Middleton and Eddie Middleton.
She is survived by a son, Eugene Durman Jr. of Vicksburg; a brother, Henry Middleton of Vicksburg; a sister-in-law, Janice Middleton of Vicksburg; two grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.
Minnie Grey Fletcher
PORT GIBSON – Minnie Grey Fletcher died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at Claiborne County Nursing Center. She was 96.
A Vicksburg resident for many years, Mrs. Fletcher was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and had retired from Culkin School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter C. Tucker and Minnie Estelle Fletcher; her husband, Henry Fletcher; a son, Freddie L. Fletcher; a daughter, Janie Anderson; four sisters, Lottie Logue, Mattie Rea Katehead, Clyde Mallett and Ruby Klineman; and a brother, John Tucker.
She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Ann Moody of Arlington, Texas, Betty Jo Anderson of Utica, Patsy Renfrow of Ferriday, La., and Linda Nations of Clayton, La.; two sons, Carroll Fletcher of Philadelphia, Miss., and Sidney Fletcher of Sicily Island, La.; and 31 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the chapel at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Paul Wright, Michael Renfrow, William Stacy Moody, Monty Fletcher, John Fletcher and Johnathon Fletcher.
Anthony Lee Walls
Anthony Lee Walls died Thursday, April 26, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident. He was 38.
A self-employed painter, Mr. Walls was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Love, and his mother, Irene T. “Precillaā€¯ Walls, who died Sunday.
He is survived by a son, Moyati Killian of Vicksburg; and three sisters, Mary Walls Brown of Memphis, Arlene W. Johnson of Vicksburg, and Beverly Walls Webb of Ozark, Ala.
Services for Mr. Walls and his mother will be at 1 p.m. today at Calvary M.B. Church with the Rev. Robert L. Miller Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
