Carolyn Annette Parkerson

Carolyn Annette Parkerson died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. She was 64.

A native of Anguilla, Mrs. Parkerson was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oakland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. and Dorothy Lee Helton Thornhill; a daughter, Katherine Denise Hays; and a granddaughter, Erica Nicole Hodges.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Albert Parkerson; four daughters, Becky Poole, Sherri Bonnette and Tonya Parkerson, all of Vicksburg, and Melinda Andress of Utica; three sons, Billy Hays of Monroe, Eddie Hays of Vicksburg and Michael Hodges of Claremore, Okla.; 10 granddaughters, Kendra Fortenberry, Jessica Hubbard, Amber Sharp, Brittany Hays, Taylor Hays, Candace Hays, Ashley Wilder, Megan Hodges, Taylor Hodges and Mackenzie Hodges; five grandsons, Joshua Poole, Billy Hays, Dillion Hays, Lee Andress and Gabby Hays; four great-grandsons, J.D. Fortenberry, Jase Poole, Caleb Worthy and Logan Timothy Hays; and one great-granddaughter, Lana Hubbard. She also had two sisters, Jean Johnson of Yazoo City and Linda Harris of Louise, Miss.; four brothers, James Thornhill of Yazoo City, Billy Thornhill of Pensacola, Fla., Doug Thornhill of Charlotte, N.C., and Michael Thornhill of Brandon; and her mother-in-law, Madeline Dove.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Fisher Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Brother Ben James, pastor of Utica Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Billy Hays, Joshua Poole, Billy Bob Hays, Dillion Hays, Bubby Hays, Billy McDuff, Dale McDuff and Marty Daffron.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Guin, A.J. McDuff, Mike McDuff, Dr. Russell Barnes, Dr. Hendrick Kuiper, John Griern, George McBride, Rick Stone and members of the Shiloh Hunting Club.

William Quincy Wade

William Quincy &#8220Will” Wade died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. He was 19.

Mr. Wade was employed at KFC on Indiana Avenue. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Wade; his maternal grandmother, Elnora Jenkins; and his paternal grandparents, Carl Wade and Rose Wade.

Survivors include his mother, Debra Buford Ross of Vicksburg; a brother, Derrett Ellis of Vicksburg; a sister, Darissia S. Buford of Vicksburg; and his maternal grandfather, Sherman Jenkins of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Bettye A. Walker

Bettye A. Walker died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at her home. She was 48.

A longtime resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Walker was a member of Rose Hill M.B. Church. She was former secretary at Warren Central High School.

She was preceded in death by her father, A.J. Robinson.

She is survived by her husband, George E. Walker Jr.; two daughters, Ametra Walker of Los Angeles and Deidra Walker of Vicksburg; her mother, Annie Tribble of Los Angeles; two sisters, Roberta Sanders and Annie Bell Campbell, both of Vicksburg; and one granddaughter.

Smith Mortuary of Clinton has charge of arrangements.
