Anice Darlene Davis
Anice Darlene Davis died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson. She was 44.
Mrs. Davis was a retired business administrator. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Jackson.
Survivors include her husband, Ben Davis III of Vicksburg; two sons, Darrin Maxwell and Samuel Davis, both of Vicksburg; one daughter, Audrey W.M. Davis of Vicksburg; her mother, Eunice Norfort of Vicksburg; one brother, Hakeem Shabazz of Decatur, Ga.; one grandchild; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Elizabeth Davenport Middleton
UTICA – Mrs. Elizabeth Davenport Middleton, affectionately known as Mama Lizzie, passed away Monday, July 23, 2007, at her residence in Utica. Mrs. Middleton was 100 years old.
Mrs. Middleton was a retired Head Start teacher. She also served on the mother’s board of Belmont M.B. Church and was president of the Missionary Society. She was a member of the Heroines of Jericho No. 130.
Mrs. Middleton is survived by her brother, Johnny Davenport of South Carolina; four grandsons, Eddie Charles Hunt Sr., James Benjamin (Jackie) Hunt and Rossevelt Hunt, all of Utica, and Christopher (Lucy) Draper of Tallulah; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Catherine Bailey of Utica; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Curtis Davenport and Mrs. Esther Davenport; her husband, Robert Middleton Jr.; a daughter, Bertha Mae Draper; three sisters; and two brothers.
Services will be held Sunday, July 29, at 3 p.m. at the Belmont M.B. Church with the Rev. Phillip Burks officiating. Interment will follow at the Belmont Cemetery. There will be a visitation hour from noon on Friday until the hour of the funeral service.
Active pallbearers will be Willie Flagg, Johnny Flagg, Alexander Allen, Johnny Lee Miller, Charles Bailey and Fredrick Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
