Martha O. Collums
ROLLING FORK – Martha O. Collums died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Rolling Fork. She was 95.
Mrs. Collums was born in Booneville and had been a resident of Rolling Fork for the past 50 years. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Collums was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lee Collums.
She is survived by two sons, Gene Allen Collums of Pass Christian and Gurtis Lee Collums of El Paso, Texas; a daughter, Geneva Boykin of Redwood; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Millard Caulder officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Whatley, Wayne Whatley, Dave Schaefer, Brandon Billings, Lenn Dickerson, Brad Craddock, Edwin Andrews and Britt Billings.
Morris Gray
Morris Gray died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at his home. He was 92.
Mr. Gray was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he was a former member of the Holy Name Society, a former Eucharistic minister and the first parish council president. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Tyner-Ford Post No. 213.
Mr. Gray was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he worked as a district photographer. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Gertrude Gray.
Mr. Gray is survived by a son, Morris Gray Jr., of Marietta, Ga.; a daughter, Ruthie McCoy of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; cousins; and other relatives.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. L. Joseph Jessing SVD, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 until 7 Tuesday at Robbins Funeral Home.
