Robert D. Ehrhardt
Robert D. “Bob” Ehrhardt died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. He was 82.
Born in Alexandria, La., he was the son of the late Kemper B. and Nellie Ehrhardt. He was a graduate of Central High School in Jackson and attended Belhaven College.
Mr. Ehrhardt received his degree from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Serving in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre of War, he later transferred to the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ehrhardt retired from the Trustmark National Bank in Vicksburg as executive vice president in 1989. He served on the Board of Directors of First National-Vicksburg and later for Trustmark National Bank-Vicksburg.
Mr. Ehrhardt was active in civic endeavors, having served as president of the Vicksburg Lions Club, and was active in professional banking organizations until the time of his death. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Burdette Ehrhardt.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Donelson Ehrhardt of Vicksburg; two sons, Robert D. Ehrhardt Jr. and his wife, Bobbie, of Clinton and Kemper B. Ehrhardt of Vicksburg; and four grandchildren, Robert D. “Don” Ehrhardt III, Mary Clare Hemlaben, Anna Catherine Ehrhardt and Paige Ehrhardt.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday from the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Timothy Erskine, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home and Thursday at Ward Hall, First Presbyterian Church, from 2 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Rod Russ, Burdette Russ, Richard Russ, Barry Russ, Bill Clement, Neal Clement, Bruns Clement and Bob Clement.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie Lampton, Harry Hutchins and Kenneth Primos.

Marvin W. Hynum
PORT GIBSON — Marvin W. “Skeeter” Hynum died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 59.
Mr. Hynum was a lifelong resident of Port Gibson. He graduated from Mississippi State University and was employed by Simpson Dura-Vent. He was a Mason and a member of Washington Lodge No. 3 in Port Gibson.
He was a member for 23 years of the Mississippi National Guard. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Port Gibson, where he served as a deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Libba G. Hynum of Port Gibson; two sons, Lee Hynum of Cortez, Colo., and Nick Hynum of Flowood; one daughter, Payne H. Cobb of Vicksburg; his mother, Ada H. Dixon of Port Gibson; three brothers, Jim Hynum and Randy Hynum, both of Port Gibson, and Gage Hynum of Lexington; and six grandchildren, Gabe Hynum and Caleb Hynum, both of Flowood, Summer Cobb and Paisley Cobb, both of Vicksburg, Tyson Wolfe of Cortez and Nathan Guerra of Ormond Beach, Fla.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Michael Herrin officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nick Gage, Kevin McCaskill, Lynn Outlaw, Jeff Hynum, Jason Hynum and John Hynum.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of the First Presbyterian Church.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson.
Martha Ann Burrough Veazey
Martha Ann Burrough Veazey died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at her residence. She was 76.
Born in Mechanicsburg, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Walter Burrough and Lucy Bradshaw Burrough. A resident of Vicksburg since 1967, Martha retired as a supervisor from Carter’s and was a member of the Dogwood Homemakers Club. Martha was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member of the Ruth Ladies’ Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jimmy Veazey of Vicksburg; two daughters, Sharon Ann Veazey Cotton and her husband, Dee, and Tonnie Lee Veazey Langston and her husband, James, all of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, James “Eric” Langston, Jaycee McNeese Langston and Alyssa LeeAnn Langston, all of Vicksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Macon Phillips, Dwight Sibley and Kerry Burrough officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Mauck, Harold Simpson, Junius Williams, Joe Crist, Bill Collins and Marty Collins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Pierce III and the staff of Gilbert Home Health of Central Mississippi.
