Lottie June Blakely
Services for Lottie June Blakely will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church near Duck Hill.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The Revs. David Blair and Darren Owens will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona.
A memorial service will be at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church in Vicksburg at a later date.
Mrs. Blakely died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 69.
She was a homemaker and a former resident of Winona and a member of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Tully Poe and Lottie Lou Ranson Poe.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Shed Blakely of Delta; four daughters, Theresa Blakely Worthy of Winona, and Kathy Jane Blakely, Sheila Blakely Love and Rachael Blakely Hollowell, all of Vicksburg; a son, Gene Blakely of Stewart.; three sisters, Mary Long of Duck Hill, Gladys Blair of Columbus, and Susie Robinson of Grenada; four brothers, the Rev. Jim Ed Poe of Pickens, the Rev. Bobby Poe of Memphis, Billy Poe of Duck Hill and George Poe of Grenada; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Tammy Smith Brown
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Tammy Smith Brown died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Russellville, Ark. She was 45.
Born in Ohio, Mrs. Brown was formerly of Vicksburg and was a resident of Russellville. She worked as a health physicist with Entergy. She was a member of Bowmar Baptist Church in Vicksburg.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Earl Brown and his wife, Anna Burnett Brown, of Vicksburg; two daughters, Ashley Michelle Brown and Sarah Marie Brown, both of Russellville; two brothers; two sisters; and her parents, Leroy and Marie Smith.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bowmar Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Frazier officiating.
Visitation will be at the church Sunday from 2 p.m. until the service.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Glenwood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Joyce S. Shiers
Services for Joyce S. Shiers will be at 11 a.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Wooley officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
Mrs. Shiers died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. She was 73.
A native of Warren County, Mrs. Shiers was the daughter of the late Kline and Janette McMillan Stanford.
She and her husband owned and operated Shiers Grocery for 18 years. She had worked at Rainbow Casino for eight years and received a money management certificate from the University of Mississippi. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church and Levi’s.
She is survived by her husband, James “Bud” Shiers; two sons, Jimbo Shiers and Rocky Shiers; a brother, Jimmy Stanford; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Zach Shiers, Cory Shiers, A.J. Beard, Joseph Beard, Todd Myers and Nick Shiers.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Wayside Baptist Church and Levi’s.
