Wilson’s brother, Timothy Allen Wilson, surrendered to Vicksburg Police this morning, Stewart said. Both are charged in the theft of an elephant fountain Jan. 8 from Warrenton Farm and Garden at 5320 U.S. 61 South, Stewart said.

Timothy Wilson faces additional charges in a June 20 burglary of a maintenance shed at Bazinsky Field owned by the City of Vicksburg and used by the Parks and Recreation Department, Stewart said. He was being held without bond potentially awaiting more charges, Stewart said.

Randy Wilson was released on a $5,000 bond, Stewart said.

Since Feb. 20, seven people have been arrested for involvement in what law enforcement officials in Mississippi and Madison and Tensas parishes in Louisiana allege was a well-organized ring in Louisiana that sold equipment stolen from Mississippi businesses and residences.

Before Friday’s arrests, the sheriff’s department said the value of the stolen equipment had topped $50,000.
