A motorcycle show and poker run Saturday will raise money for a Vicksburg child with a degenerative disease.
The Gold Wingers bike club will show motorcycles from 9 until 10 a.m. at Vicksburg Factory Outlets and then set out on a 2-hour poker run through Warren and Claiborne counties.
The bike show is free, and the poker run costs $10 for one rider or $15 per couple.
Proceeds will go to a fund for Haley Jade Meadows, the 9-year-old daughter of Johnathan and Mandy Meadows who suffers from Legg-Calve-Perthe Syndrome, a degenerative disease of the hip joint. The disease is typically found in young children and small dogs and can lead to osteoarthritis in adults.
Chandler Bonelli is a friend of the Meadows family who is helping organize the events.
“Haley Jade is a sweet little girl, and the Gold Wingers are trying to raise money that will help her later on in life,” he said. “The money is going in a special account for Haley Jade so that she can use it for medical bills or whatever she needs to.”
