Willie Henry Bunch

Willie Henry Bunch died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Covenant Health and Rehab of Vicksburg. He was 90.

Mr. Bunch was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He had retired from Anderson-Tully and was a custodian at Warren Central High School.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Davis Bunch; one daughter, Augustine Shelly; his parents, Cornell “Sugar” Bunch and Rosa Gravin; and one sister, Catherine Fountroly.

Survivors include two sons, Gregory Bunch of Oakland, Calif., and Terry Lee Wright of Atlanta; two daughters, Suvella Bunch of Highland, Calif., and Jenene Wright Bunch of Vicksburg; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives; and friends.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of the arrangements.

Rea Steen Dubuisson

Rea Steen Dubuisson died Friday, March 28, 2008, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. She was 87.

A native of Florida, Mrs. Dubuisson was the daughter of the late Plezant L. and Cleo Mae Stifle Steen. She had lived in Vicksburg for a number of years and moved to New Orleans and back to Vicksburg for some four years. She was a visual tech for Adema Vision Clinic for some 20 years. She was a member of Oak Park Baptist Church in New Orleans. In Vicksburg, she attended the Ladies Bible Club at First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Dubussion was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one sister, Fay Jacks; and one brother, William Steen.

She is survived by three daughters, Debora Culbertson of Vicksburg, Robin Wild of Diamond Head, and Alisa Redwick of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Leo Steen and Gene Steen, both of Vicksburg; three sisters, Betty Gillis of Vicksburg, D.D. Stalling of Baton Rouge and Jane Kennedy of Boswell, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Shay Michelle Culbertson, Courtney Renee’ Harrington, Haley Allison Redwick, Madison Taylor Redwick, Kristen Renee’ Redwick, Lanier Michelle Redwick, Shelby Renee’ Wild and Nikki Marie Wild; and one great-granddaughter, Ava Rea Harrington.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with Dr. Russell McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 3 until 5 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Kavanaugh, David Gillis, Chris Gillis, Mike Gillis, Mark Steen, Glenn Fournet, Allen Booth and Bill Stalling.

Willie Lee Jones Jr.

Willie Lee Jones Jr. died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 87.

Born in Vicksburg on May 22, 1920, he was the son of the late William Lee Jones and Avis Winona Cooper Jones. He was a member of Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Navy and was employed as a lumber inspector and foreman for 28 years by Anderson-Tully Lumber Co. before moving in 1968 to Newport, Ark., where he was employed by Curtner Lumber Company for 14 years. He retired in 1982 and returned to his home in Vicksburg

He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Lee Jones; one brother, Theodore “Ted” Jones Sr.; and two sisters, Laurette Corbin Warner and Mary Cecil Schmitt.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dolly Mae Cockrell Jones of Vicksburg; one son, William “Bill” Jones and his wife, Anna, one daughter, Cheryl Blakely and her husband, Terry, and one daughter-in-law, Gwen Jones Edris and her husband, Earl, all of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren, Jeff Jones and his wife, Liz, of Charlotte, N.C., Jason Jones and his fiance, Eleanor Geary, of Brandon, Cindy Lee of Daleville, Ala., Kim Garcia and her husband, Mike, of Vicksburg, Karie Lynch and her husband, Wayne, of Vicksburg, Dustin Lee Jones of Hattiesburg and Corey Jones of Vicksburg; seven great-grandchildren, Jessica Jones and Brandon Lee Jones of Charlotte, N.C., Garrison Lee and Mackenzie Lee of Daleville, Ala., and Preston Lynch, Maddox Lynch and Melana Garcia, all of Vicksburg; one sister, Beatrice Ransomer of Dayton, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 until 5 p.m. today at Glenwood Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Chapel with the Rev. Greg Hazelrig of Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Jones, Jason Jones, Dustin Jones, Corey Jones, Garrison Lee, Mike Garcia and Wayne Lynch.

Margaret N. Stephens

Margaret N. Stephens died Friday, March 28, 2008, at her home. She was 82.

Born in Vicksburg, she was the daughter of the late Wells O. Needham and Sybil Turner Needham and a graduate of Carr Central High School. Mrs. Stephens was a former employee of Merchants National Bank and retired from Mississippi Power and Light Company with 30 years of service. She was a past president of the Vicksburg Chapter of the Pi Alpha Kappa Sorority, a past president of the Vicksburg Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association and a member of the Vicksburg Paddle Wheelers Square Dancers Club. Mrs. Stephens had been active in several local garden clubs and bridge clubs. She attended Hawkins United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Stephens of Vicksburg; one daughter, Linda S. Parker and her husband, Bob, of Vicksburg; two grandchildren, Lisa P. Laird and her husband, Chris, of Vicksburg, and Victor S. Parker of Oxford; and a great-granddaughter, Logan.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Young, pastor of Hawkins United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Sam Price, Andy Cook, Buddy Tindell, Roy Campbell, Chris Laird and David Maggio.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Branning, Guy Tucker Jr., Jack Lewis, George Carr, Ellis Koury, Dr. Tom Mitchell, Charles Gastrell, Milton Williams, Roy Starnes, Charles Johnson, Dr. Brian Hudson, Dr. Joseph Wilson and Dr. Martin Newcomb.
